Ridiculously long wait (over 20 mins) at the drive-thru for ice cream (McFlurries). Instead of having the cars in front of us (who both had large food orders) pull over & wait, they kept the entire line waiting. Of course, our McFlurries had been made when I ordered them - and left sitting on the counter for 20 mins. This resulted in our ice cream being a melted, gross mess! When I asked for them to be re-made, the server was openly annoyed and said, "People are just ordering, like, butt-crazy right now!" I agreed to keep the McFlurries, since they'd be going back in my freezer at home, any way. I was then handed 2 cups with ice cream, bits of candy bar, and syrup (where did the syrup come from???) all down the sides, around the bottom (outside) of the cup, and dripping out from under the lids (neither of which were on the cups). This left melted, sticky ice cream all over my hands & dripped onto my car door. I asked for napkins, only to have the server grab a handful of napkins, wad them into a ball, and hand/toss them through my car window! This was 11PM, after I had worked 15 hrs straight & just wanted a little ice cream treat! Nearly 30 mins total (including time in line before ordering) for melted, sticky, poorly-made McFlurries given to me by an overwhelmed young lady with terrible customer service skills. I had only gone to McD's because nowhere else in the area was still open (I rarely get ice cream treats) and it sounded like a quick way to get a little "pick-me-up" after a grueling day. I would, literally, suggest going ANYWHERE else...or skipping your junk food craving all together! I knew there was a reason I avoid McD's - and this experience definitely...
Read moreI took my 4yo son to this location for an early lunch. Unfortunately my son was in Crocs without socks, the play place sign says no shoes and socks required, when the young lady brought out our food I asked if it was a big deal that he kept his Crocs on. She said there would be no issues. After we had finished our meal he went to play. After a bit of playing an unkempt elderly man started washing the windows, he noticed my son and came to me and told me firmly that my son needed to take off his shoes. I told him that was fine. My son was already halfway up the play place and I called his name but this gentleman must have decided that my son's Crocs posed a major safety risk because he rushed to the tower my son was in and yelled at him to come down. My son was startled and confused and as tears rolled down his cheeks he climbed down. Not wanting to cause anymore of a scene with the elderly janitor I threw my trash and left with my son who was still in tears. I understand there are rules and even though I was cleared by one employee I would have removed my child's shoes so He would be barefoot like the only other child in the play place at the time which would also be breaking the rule.... But this disgruntled old man decided he would discipline my child and cause a scene over a pair of Crocs. I hope other families are aware of this and that McDonald's will let their janitor know that he should let the parents handle...
Read moreI have not been to a McDonalds in a very long time. I decided to go today and pick up some lunch for my son and I. There's absolutely no way I will be going here again. First of all, the drive thru experience was ridiculous. When I pulled up to the first speaker the lady asked what I would like, I ordered then she tells me to please pull up to the second speaker...fine...whatever. I get to the second speaker and this guy taking my order sounded like a complete jack wagon (Combination of maniacal/comical voice) when speaking to me. I pull up to the second window, they give me my bag, and a small water. I told them that's not my order. They said, "okayyyyyyy" and gave me what I ordered, but then of course I had to remind them that I ordered a meal and not just the damn burger, grrrrrr. I get home and guess what....no sauce on the burgers, just dry meat and cheese. I beginning to think this is the common norm for McDonald's. I'm pretty sure it's just their drive thru that's all jacked up. If this McDonalds ever needs a motivational speaker about common sense and proper leadership/management skills, I'd be happy to do...
