Very poor service and treatment of new staff. I expect to have a substantial wait in the drive thru line more so now with most businesses having difficulty finding help. However when you have a new staff working the window the customer and their team need to have more grace and patience. Tonight I ordered my meal only to sit in line for 10 min to make it to the window and be charged and then asked to by the cashier to review my order on the receipt , after reviewing I informed her that my order was incorrect and she was going to call the lead/manger on duty to correct it. I told her no worries and that I would just pay for the item missed and the wrong item she typed in no worries. She's new and why get mad at her it was an honest mistake I'm glad she had the courage to ask me to review my order and explain that she was new. After another 6 mins she attempts to hand me my order and I kindly let her know that it's still incorrect and is missing part of it. She turns to inform what i assume is a you male lead/manager with croped blue hair who is clearly stressed and ye begins to yell that I'll need to go around etc etc. Because we all have to those days I kindly asked him to come to the window and explain to me what the issue is. After he impatiently told me that I cannot just add items to my order; I allowed him to finish and I calmly explained the situation not blaming but a mistake had happened. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or even asking me to pull to the front so that they can correct the order he begins to speak rudely to his team and the new young lady. I ask if she wants me to move out of line and she politely says no. I wait receive my order only to arrive home with a very poorly prepared meal that I waited about a total of 25mins for. I type all this to say fast food doesn't mean you mistreat your staff team or the customers to in turn serve them poorly made food. New staff should feel confident and comfortable enough to ask the lead/manager for help with its bad enough customers sometimes are kind they don't need it from the people they work with. This year when we went to Zips we were greeted by staff who had no hair nets, hair flopping around while handling food with no gloves. Staff who were incompetent about processing orders and getting food out to you.
Food: We arrived with another couple, and waited 30+ minutes for our food. Our other guests from our table got their food and finished eating before our food even arrived. Other guests arriving after us got their food before us. Found out that our food was handed to a drive through vehicle. Staff didn’t know how to handle comp for long wait and food not being delivered to our table for greater then 30 minutes.
Cleanliness: Every table in establishment was dirty. Toilet in the men’s bathroom didn’t function properly.
🐕🦺 SERVICE ANIMAL 🦮 They were pleasant about my having a service animal and allowed me to sit where ever I’d like within the lobby.
⭐️⭐️⭐️NO RESOLUTION ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I called to speak with owners and attempt to get ahold of them with being redirected away from owner and only to speak to management of day (which was the young girl at counter who was unaware of even how to credit back on issues). I asked to have owner call me back and that never happened. Called other locations to find out owners name and still no response from owner(s). It appears as the owners don’t really care about their customers or the over all well being of their establishment. Definitely issues with staff not wearing hair nets or gloves while handling your food during preparation...
Read moreOnly reason I gave a 1 Istar is.. they were the only place open for cod& chips.. lady asked me if I needed my receipt. I said no.. never had a problem at any zips really.. I should of went inside but I was so exhausted.. it was terrible.. fish was hard to swallow. Chewed it & chewed it.the fries I've never had fries like this.. they were so swamped in the fish oil.. it tasted exactly like they were fish soggy.. that it poured out of basket.. I thought maybe it was also from the hot fish itself.. steaming.. the fish made my cold fries hot.. not crispy.. the oil.. made it mushy.. worse then humid fries.. when I got home.. it was cold & the oil stiffened up.. so I put in microwave.. oh my... all the oil cameback.. I spent $24. There.. my dog wouldnt even eat it.. cod or fries.. I feel I should get my money back at least for the large cod & fries.. or remade.. but I never .. it was so bad.. I couldn't of been the only one.. maybe there was a trainee.. I just wanted to get back home incase I got sick.. exhausted from shopping.. I'm still shocked.. cuz I feel cheated.. I've never eaten something so bad... I should of showed you.. cuz whomever needs to don't overcook fish and degrease fries & fish.. the oil had no place to go in basket so my fries soaked it up.. take your time.. fresh fries.. zips is one of my favorite burger joints & fish is yummy.. idk.. kinda scared to come back cuz.. there really wasn't customers there.. make the fries crisp shake the basket a couple few times.. maybe have something to soak up oil on to before...
