My wife and I were looking for a place in post falls to meet a friend for dinner. Reviews for Nate's were generally positive, so we decided to give it a try. When we walked in, it seemed like a solid pizza joint. Nothing fancy, but hey - I didn't come for fancy tables. When you walk up to the counter, you will notice a bunch of huge pizza boxes. The pizza's get rather large.....the small is a big pizza! The largest one (which is like $100) is probably big enough to feed 10 hungry people (As a side note: they have a 4 person challenge to eat the giant pizza in 30 minutes. If you win, you get your $100 back for the pizza + a prize of like $250.00!). Anyway...we spent a few minutes figuring out what we wanted. We decided on some of the garlic breadsticks ($6.99) and a medium 18" Wall Street pizza ($25). The breadsticks seemed slightly pricey around $7, but the portion is huge - so it's actually a pretty solid value. The pizza came out 15-20 minutes later and was great! The crust was crispy and delicious. The owner, Glen, was great and checked up on us several times.
The pizza's are expensive, but that's because they are HUGE! The three of us finished about 1/2 of the medium pizza, which could probably feed 5 adults. Only only issue was the use of paper plates. While that's generally what I use at home, it made it difficult to cut the pizza. I ended up cutting through my plate as I cut a piece in half. This is definitely some of the better pizza that I've had in the area.
Overall - this was a good a great find and I'm sure...
Read moreMy husband and I really like the pizza here so we treat ourselves every once in a while. I called one evening and almost before the conversation began I almost hung up on the gal who answered. The gal who answered the phone may have been having an off day but none the less I feel that the beginning of the conversation could have gone better. When I asked if there were any specials going on there was just a long enough pause that made me wonder if she was still there then she sharply said nope. Her tone all by itself told me that she didn't want to be there and that I was a bother to her. I was so taken back by it that I actually took the phone away from my head and looked at my husband long enough for him to question wither or not if someone was still on the other end. She repeated that there were no specials going on and that it was just regular business that day. She did answer all of my questions very well and was actually very nice on the phone. When we stopped in to pick up our pizza the three gals at the register were all polite and very nice. Phone etiquette is a really great way to let your customers hear what kind of customer service you provide and in many cases sets the tone for the upcoming visit from a potential fan of your business who may return time and time again just because of the great...
Read moreSo I was really hoping to find a good pizza place other then wood fire pizzas in town. Someplace where the pizza is smothered with real cheese, a good sauce and a lot of meat. I really really was hoping. When we walked in you would think the fresh smell of pizzas in the oven would smack ya in the face. Didn't happen. What did smack us in the face was the over powering smell of Cigar Smoke from next door. We took a seat closet to the door in hopes to minimize the overpowering smell. We ordered the Wallstreet, couple of beers and a salad. Gotta say the salad was great, beer was great. The pizza was so so. Like I said I really wanted this place to work. Finally found the sausage in the pizza and it was minced and very fine pieces and couldn't really taste it, really lite pizza sauce (couldn't really taste it) salami was awesome and very little pepperoni. For me it was like eating a good pizza dough with little flavor. Took the pizza home, put it in the fridge thinking maybe better cold? NOT Really sorry guys Just being honest. Oh and the wife had a headache all night from the...
