Overall, I was pretty disappointed. I finally got a chance to try Barristers, and I realized I wasn't missing out on anything. I got a breakfast sandwich and an iced coffee. The breakfast sandwich with the bagel toasted. It did not seem to be toasted at all. It was cold when they handed it to me. The cheese was not even slightly melted. I'm not sure how they actually accomplished that. The bagel itself tasted stale and was probably the driest bagel I have ever eaten. The coffee was terrible and tasted like dirt. My wife got a toasted bagel with butter and said the same about the bagel. She said she has had a better bagel from Wawa, and I agree with that. She said the tea was good, but it was just a Bigelow tea bag. The total was almost $18, which I feel is absurdly overpriced for what we got. Service was ok. The staff were friendly, but the whole process of ordering and receiving food seemed very disorganized. I witnessed multiple customers receiving the wrong order while...
Read moreOrdered a bacon egg and cheese with a hash brown, Turkey sausage egg and cheese with hash brown, sticky bun and a dog bagel. My dog loved his bagel! The hash brown was eh in the bagel but I ate one half of my bacon egg and cheese and when I went to eat the other half there was a long blonde hair in it. I called to let them know that there was hair in my bagel and their solution was to “let them know “ then hung up. Ridiculous no apology refund or anything that would rectify the gross issue. Like the bagel came out to $8.50 and I was only able to eat half and it wasn’t up to par that’s crazy to basically be ignored cause someone didn’t wrap their hair up 🙄 will not be purchasing any bagels moving forward!! Sticky buns are good tho ! Upset that I don’t have a photo to prove the hair but I had to throw it away once I found the hair 🤮 spent a total of $23 to be told “I’ll let them know” as if that makes anything better....
Read moreBarristers is in our neighborhood and we like to order for pickup once a week or so. The staff are unfailingly polite and always get our order correct. The bagels are delicious - there's a wonderful variety, they're large and have a very satisfying and toothsome texture. We usually opt for plain cream cheese or an egg and cheese bagel sandwich but we're looking forward to branching out. And of course we always get the whole wheat bagel with peanut butter for my son. The iced coffee is strong and dark but smooth, reminiscent of Starbucks but less bitter and about half the price. One small recommendation: simple syrup is easy and inexpensive to make in a saucepan with water and sugar, and will keep for over a week. It works much better to sweeten iced coffee than granulated sugar. And some almond milk alongside the half-and-half wouldn't go amiss! Thanks for breakfast this morning! We will see...
