This was not just any Reuben; it was a masterpiece. Served on perfectly toasted marble rye bread, the corned beef was piled high, tender, and seasoned to perfection. My order: 2 empanadas, onion rings, and a corned beef Ruben. The empanada were fantastic! Crispy but not over crispy. Great taste and hot (made to order). The sauce was a but spicy for.me.but Great taste! Onion rings very good as well! Fried perfectly! Crispy and whe. I took a bite, I didn't pull the onion out of the breading! The star, corned beef ruben. I do not like rye bread. The emoyee had no problem switching to Texas toast. Even toasted the bread so it wouldn't get soggy! Offered to give me extra bread in case it was soggy! ( I kindly declined) the corned beef tasted very good. The slaw was good and the perfect amount of sauce and cheese! Outside of New York, it was a great sandwich! Only downfall, it took like 15 minutes and I was the only customer. I have no issue with that being how everything was made to order. A coworker informed me about the shop. Two days later we are in front of this very nicely colored store front (my fav colors❤️🖤) The interior and atmosphere was lovely. Greeted by a wonderfully pleasant woman who waited patiently as we decided on what we wanted. We gave our orders and they even made mine just as I asked. We paid, waited a few minutes and was thanked for coming in. My husband ordered the Philadelphian, and New Yorker. I ordered the corned beef, mustard on rye. First off let me say they did not skimp on the meat, the sandwich was full, over flowing with meat. The meat beautifully cooked and tender. Even had a pickle 🥒. This took us back to NY where getting a classic corned beef on rye was an everyday go to from the kosher deli. Will we return? Most definitely!!!!! If I could give 10⭐ I would.
