edit I have been patronizing this business since their first day opening. They've had different steak slayers, training ppl, the new staff hired at counter, and I can say, they are amazing! I go at least 2xs-3xs a month (sometimes more) for their specials, their cheesesteaks with a huge container of fries, their wings, their philly tried and true water ice, and their hoagies when they have them fresh and ready for slicing.
Deezys never disappoints! They take feedback and appease the customer if something is wrong. They don't shame a customer for a subpar or bad review. They always make it right and it doesn't take over an hour for a steak. It's usually 15mins walk in and 20-30mins online or phone order.
They also don't false advertise. Bc once you have that grassfed beef shaved IN HOUSE, using fresh local ingredients for a fraction of the price, YOU KNOW you got a good steak! They don't advertise exquisite ingredients, and do a bait and switch. They stand by their brand and do it in a certified kitchen, that follows food safety laws. They don't drown your steak in overwhelming fake cheese or "custom" cheese, or flat top oils. And their onions are freshly chopped/diced and not dehydrated and reconstituted onions like fast food restaurants. Did I mention they have a vegan steak too? Did I also mention they have a food truck now? Beyond 5stars!!
Now Deezys has food trucks in Pottstown (for events on high st and private parties) as well as a dedicated spot on 724 in spring city at the Citgo (across from Wawa). Deezys always seeved up specials like the salmon steak, breakfasts, water ice, and so many options on your steak, that you won't see from "other places".
(When they opened memorial day weekend 2022) I ordered delivery from grub hub on memorial day, their first day open. The cheesesteak was the juiciest, most flavorful cheesesteak I ever had! I opted for the sesame bun (trust me, it's a game changer) with the cooper sharp American cheese. Their steak sauce is amazing! (Order the Pottstown, trust me).
It was still the best cheesesteak I've ever had, and I've been to Philly and the local haunts here in town. So many born and raised philly peeps say it's better than all the steak places! Funny how ONE place says cooper sharp and now ALL the places want cooper sharp. Hmmmmm. One place says seeded rolls and now they all use seeded rolls. One place offers long hots (not a philly tradition) and they want to serve long hots.
Bottom line Deezys is the OG philly born, brought to Pottstown steak place w a twist on the steaks to make a signature sandwich. Fresh, in house house shaved steak, secret seasoned steak, finely chopped veggies, secret sauce, cooper sharp, long hots, for a great price, w a minimal wait time. If you haven't tried it yet,...
Read moreWith all the hype surrounding this place my family and I decided to try it today on their $6 dollar cheesesteak day. I have written many google reviews and always give my honest opinion. I support all small businesses and only want to see them succeed. The service was good. The place is very clean. My family and I got 4 cheesesteaks. There was no consistency with meat ratio. I paid for extra cheese since I have seen the pictures of what extra cheese looks like on facebook. I could not tell it was extra cheese. I know this is a new business but my picture tells the story by itself. (Will not let me load the picture) finally got it loaded. The one cheesesteak on the left is my sons, mine is on the right. You can tell whoever made mine and my sons were not the same person. I ordered one set of 3 cheesesteaks and then added another which was a separate order. I'm assuming the same person did not make all of my cheesesteaks. Also as stated in another review...No one in my family had onions or peppers or any other fillers it was all plain cheesesteaks with onions on the side. The seasoning on the meat was to...
Read moreOne Star is Too Generous: Deezy's "Famous" Misses the Mark I'm convinced the "chefs" at Deezy's have never even seen a cheesesteak, let alone made one. This was, without a doubt, the most disappointing cheesesteak experience of my life. Where do I even begin? The Bread: Stale and dry, it seemed like it was sitting out for days. It crumbled into a million pieces as soon as I picked it up, making it impossible to eat without making a huge mess. The Meat: Mystery meat. Seriously, I have no idea what kind of animal this came from, but it certainly wasn't the thinly sliced ribeye a cheesesteak deserves. It was dry, chewy, and flavorless. The Cheese: Whiz? What Whiz? It was barely a drizzle, and it tasted like it came straight from a can that expired a year ago. The Service: Slow, rude, and indifferent. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor by even taking my order. Honestly, I wouldn't feed this cheesesteak to my dog. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. You'll...
