My boyfriend and I were just going to eat lunch at home today but we seen the Chicken Waffle Tenders advertised recently and wanted to get them again since they're a limited time item. So we go in and theres only 2 other people eating in the store so we order right away and I said I'll have the 3 piece waffle tenders and she told me that "last nights shift screwed them and they had to filter the fryer" still. I told her thats the only reason we came out to popeyes because we were excited to get those. Working as a fast food manager for 4 years I tried to be understanding, so we ordered something else. The man in the back said "thats the last spicy, I gotta filter and clean" and my boyfriend and I just laughed because not only did they not have spicy after he recieved his old stale tenders they also didnt have waffle. Not only that, while we placed our order the women on register kept refuring to my boyfriend as "boss". Thats incredibly unprofessional and my boyfriend told me he hates being called boss and said if he was the boss they'd have everything or get it at that sale price. I normally don't complain but EVERYTIME we come to this popeyes theres ALWAYS something. For $20 for 2 meals is ridiculous, then receiving old, greasy food is even worse. Then as we were eating what we didn't want we heard the coworkers and manager complaining about another worker. Thats the last thing we want to hear as we eat in Popeyes. They did NOTHING to make us happy after we showed our dissatisfaction. Then when we were about to leave a couple came in and tried to order the waffle tenders and at first she was saying they didn't have them then the man in the back said he could make them. My question is, as I used to open the store is, why didn't you do the fryers before opening? It was 11:30! Plenty of time to be up and running by then. And if not we shouldve got a coupon or a meal for free. We recieved nothing. I'm disgusted with the whole visit and don't think I'll ever be back and we love Popeyes Chicken. Sincerely,...
Read moreI've been going to the drive-through at this location and experiencing totally absurd wait times, so I went inside to order at the counter, to try and see what's going on. Now I fully understand it.
First off, they are not "short staffed"; there were at least eight people working. The problem is simply that the employees do NOT want to be there, and they don't give a damn who knows it. The cooks had two full trays of cooked chicken, one mild and one spicy, on the warmer ready to go. I also counted 27 biscuits and dozens of side dishes... food preparation was not the problem. There were FOUR employees working customer service behind the counter and none of them were grabbing chicken and filling orders. Literally zero. Two of them just stood around doing nothing, just staring at the floor for minutes at a time. Eventually a guy came out from the back and started asking people what, precisely, they were doing before realizing the reality was "absolutely nothing" and then issuing specific instructions.
I watched for around ten minutes before getting impatient and walking up to the counter and staring at them until the ostensible manager could no longer ignore my forced eye contact and asked me if I was being helped. I told him I was waiting for "number 36" per my receipt and he asked me for my name. I informed him that I didn't give a name to the cashier and he looked totally bewildered (she never asked for my name... I don't think she said any words at all honestly.) After three or four more minutes I got the order.
The food is fine I suppose... it's just fried chicken and not nearly as good as everyone pretends it is, but it's certainly not bad. In any event, all of the non-cook kids working here must be summarily fired; they don't want to be there anyway.
Update: I gave them another chance today and it seems as if some manager took my advice, whether directly or indirectly, and got rid of every single employee who was here previously. The service is an order of magnitude more...
Read moreThis place has THEEEE WORST customer service that I have ever experienced. I go through the drive thru and I hear the employee say, “you can place your order when you are ready…”. Great right?! NO… I ask for the fish sandwich meal the employee quickly responds with a snappy tone and says,” We don’t have any sandwich meals today would you like to order something else?” I say ok that’s fine can I have the 8 piece family meal. She says, “ we don’t have thighs and breast so you can only get wings and drums” I said ok what do you have on the menu available so I can choose from that instead of picking something I actually want and it’s not available. She gets a bigger attitude and says mam we have everything except for what I just said…I immediately went off on her. I said how am I supposed to know what’s available and what I ordered wasn’t available so it’s your job to make it known to me when I ask but you are catching an attitude with me for asking you what is available?! She then goes to say you keep asking me for things we don’t have and I told you that already. I gave up and just went to the window because at that point I didn’t even want anything anymore and wanted to speak to a manager… low and behold this girl was the manager…needless to say I won’t be going to that Popeyes anymore. The place looks dirty and the workers lack customer service and...
