Teriyaki Bowl — Restaurant in Pottstown

It was my first time here, and I ordered the Beef Teriyaki Bowl, which comes over a bed of cooked veggies (mostly broccoli and cabage), so that is a plus if you are carb conscious. 😉 My friend ordered the shrimp teriyaki over rice (costs .99 extra to swap it out the bed of veggies for rice or noodles).. We ate there (very casual dining booths), and they bring your food out to you (in the take-out plastic containers). It was hot and delicious for sure 😋 - but if you ask me, it just seems kind of plain to have just some shrimp on top of some rice with some sauce over it. 💁🏻‍♀️ But that's what it was, and my friend loved it, lol. The amount of food was just enough for us, but there definitely weren't any leftovers, and we paid close to $25. Maybe that's the norm regarding these poke bowl places. Honestly, I really am not that familiar with these bowl style eateries. I'm just saying that if you are used to (let's say Chinese) food where you almost always will have leftovers, that probably won't happen here. But having said that, these people were incredibly nice, the food was very tasty, and frankly, I'm excited to add Japanese cuisine to our little town of Pottstown. Please give this...

I grew up in Los Angeles eating tons of teriyaki bowls. If you know what a teriyaki bowl is supposed to be, don't go here. It will be a disappointment. If you don't know what a teriyaki bowl is, then give it a try. The food isn't bad, it's just not a teriyaki bowl. DELICIOUS! I wish we had discovered this place earlier as they have the best hibachi/teriyaki I've had in a long time. They have great portions for the price as well - I was able to eat half for dinner and save the rest for lunch. I got the Teriyaki Chicken and my partner got the Chicken Bento box - both had such a great quanitity of food. I only put 4 stars for Atmosphere because it's more of a to-go place than a sit-down place, but I'd love to see them expand into a sit-down...
