Never disappointed with the MOST FRIENDLY service we receive at Three Brothers Grill in Pottstown! Perfectly priced, freshly made, delicious Mexican food!
This visit my husband had his favorite, the SUPER NACHOS with chicken. The chips are perfectly crispy (but not too hard on your mouth!) to hold all the toppings of chicken, refried beans, guacamole (homemade & delicious 😋), sour cream and MORE! He always gets this as his main dish and it's hearty enough to make it a meal in itself or a very nice appitizer for several people.
This time I ordered just 2 tacos. Oh so 😋! (I LOVE I can CUSTOMIZE each item to just as I would top it at home!) Both with their perfectly crisp, but juicy ground beef, fresh made and still hot! One crispy (American style... 😂) with tradional lettuce, tomato and sour cream. My "soft" shell taco, that's street-style, is made like home-style - They lightly fry the shells so the 2 soft-corn tortillas DON'T fall apart - SO PERFECT! That's topped with a HEAPING helping of that perfect ground beef, then cilantro which I love! (they have their usual toppings but I can't eat fresh onions so I get without).
I ordered a small size of their SMOOTH guacamole (again I love cilantro and this has a nice amount, smoothly blended in!) I also enjoyed topping it with their fire-roasted regular salsa they give you when you sit down with homemade chips.
I can't eat a lot, so the chips & salsa I enjoyed while waiting for our food, and these 2 wonderfully tasty tacos were just-right for my petite stomach! Wish I could eat more!
The sad thing is that I was so excited about eating inside with the air-conditioning, that I dug right into my food & forgot to take photos to share! I will DEFINITELY NEED TO GO BACK SOON & enjoy ANOTHER meal here and this time, take pictures to share our favorite foods for...
Read moreA couple of weeks ago, I tried Three Brothers for lunch. I got the Chile Relleno, Tamale Taco combo plate. While all 3 had welcome heat, they were all disappointing.
The chile relleno was soggy with little cheese filling. (Yes, I ordered take-out and what might have started as a crispy coating suffered from steaming in the clam shell on the way home.) Rating: 3
The tamale was the biggest disappointment. Almost no filling and a very thick (1/4 inch or more) corn "wrapper." What there was of the pork filling was tasty. My standard is a Mexican friend's homemade tamales and they were to-die-for. Is it fair to compare Three Brothers' tamales with those? ABSOLUTELY. Why? Because they are billed as homemade. Rating: 2
The taco was ok. My rating is based on my not being able to remember it 2 weeks later. So, average. Rating: 3
The rice and beans were rice and beans. Rating: 3
Overall Food Rating: 3
Everything I had was under seasoned--not enough salt. While you can add salt after, it does much less to bring out the flavors than if the food is optimally seasoned during cooking. And it takes more salt afterwards.
Despite my average rating, Three Brothers Grille has a lot of potential. Tasting for seasoning and making the necessary adjustments, maybe relying less on pre made items and insisting that every thing be exceptional (even the rice and beans) could make Three Brothers Grille a special destination. As it is...
Read moreFood was really good but Reception Person was not professional and some food quantity was ok.
Let me start out by saying that the Food was very good and definitely had good flavors and for the 6-7 items we got it was reasonable as well.
Why the low rating you may ask? -There was a water cooler for people to get water so when I asked for a cup the lady rolled her eyes and said that I can just grab water that is is part of my combo instead of a drink????? -We asked to clarify if the chips were free and again the lady said its only 1 bad and others are not included but we can pay .50 which we did but since we got about 7 entree type items (Quesadillas, Combos, Platter) we were just asking and could have done without the attitude honestly. -Next When we asked to get about 6 plates, it was the same eye roll and hesitation. -Lastly, the sauces did not have lid for the cups so we asked and got 2 lids again for 7 items and a $50 order????
Like I said this would have been an easy 5 star but when restaurants don't know how to staff the front it hurts the overall experience and we don't understand them cheapening out in our scenario especially this being our first time there. Food was very flavorful for example the Quesadillas needed pico or sauce to go with it but we definitely needed the peppers and the sauce to add to the dryness and felt annoyed with their...
