A new Thai restaurant opened in my neck of the woods and I definitely have to try it out. Went for lunch with my neighbor today. Parking was a breeze, it's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Upon walking into the restaurant, I was impressed by the ambiance. Exotic Southeast Asia style meets the rustic Western country flavor.
Service was a bit slow to start with. We arrived 10 minutes before noon and nobody came seat there. The two of us stood there awkwardly for a few minutes until we were told that we could just pick a table to seat ourselves.
The menu looks decent with creative house special dishes and traditional Thai dishes. I ordered Panang curry with shrimp, brown rice, and extra vegetable. They did give me extra vegetables which is super nice. I like the variety of vegetables compared to other Thai restaurants. It comes with string beans, green peppers, broccoli, and onion. Vegetables are chopped in medium size not too chunky which is a plus for me. The sauce is thick, salty, and sweet, with a zesty makrut lime flavor. I can taste galangal, cumin, and garlic in the source. It is very authentic and has the right amount of coconut milk. The portion was big. I got around 7 medium-sized shrimp which is generous for a dish like this.
I would recommend this restaurant if you are into Thai food and in the neighborhood. Service was a bit slow but the food and ambiance...
Read moreThis is my first time posting a negative review on google, but I almost feel I have to warn others. I am reading all the positive reviews, and I am wondering if they hired a new cook or something. This may very well be the worst meal I have ever had at a restaurant. The sampler starter tasted like it had been taken straight out of the freezer and warmed up in the microwave, all mushy and soggy. The ped krob kraprao is advertised as crispy, but it was not crispy at all, and the taste was rancid. The pad soon sen was absolutely tasteless. I had a few bites and I could not eat any more. The service was great. When they saw I did not like my noodles they offered to bring another dish, and, when I said no, they took the dish off my bill. Good service, really bad food. If you are in 4S and crave Thai food, you may just go to Gor Gai in Del Sur for...

I eat a lot of Thai food...... Usually it's all about the same, but this is now FAVORITE Thai restaurant I have ever been to!!!!
I thought maybe it was just the Green Curry was exceptional, but after a few rounds of salivating over the Green Curry I got up the nerve to try more of the menu and everything else is equally as amazing.... Even the tofu is amazing???
I could easily eat at this place daily....
Luckily it is in the same complex as Jimbos so every time I get groceries I make an excuse to grab a bit at Taste of Thai!!
The staff is also really nice and friendly.
I could not recommend this place any higher....
Also pro tip - if you're ordering online, order off their website versus the other third parties!! They keep more money and also they have cheaper prices on their menu versus third...
