I saw that the last review of this Waffle House was dated two years ago. I am surprised to find that there are no recent reviews prior to mines. It would be my pleasure to bring you up to date.
I am a huge Waffle House fan and so my fiancé and I decided to venture out this morning and have some breakfast at this location. I am embarrassed to tell you that I ate here. Although the food was good, the restaurant was absolutely filthy. I know, I know. You're probably wondering why we bothered to eat there, especially since I normally have a history of paying very close attention to health food code ratings. The truth is we didn't notice just how unclean the restaurant was until after we sat down to eat. Here are a few things we noticed. The coffee pot that the servers poured coffee from had what looked like 3 years worth of coated grease on them. Because we were seated directly across from the cook's station, we had a bird's eye view of a garbage pail overflowing with trash, the floor at the cook's station was full of food droppings, i.e., old egg shells, and overall the floor looked as if it has not been swept nor mopped in years. As we were leaving out the door to pay for our food, we were further appalled with the fact that the waffle station was literally full of piles and piles of old waffle crumbs on the entire waffle station as fresh waffles continued to be cooked. This is no exaggeration--the entire waffle station was so full of old waffle crumbs that you could not see the stove. Yikes...someone please call either Chef Ramsey or better yet the Cobb Department of Public Health Services on these people. While I am a huge Waffle House fan, this is not one that I will be visiting anytime soon until they clean up their act. ...
Read moreMe and my children have been coming to this waffle house for probably over a year and a half now every weekend because my kids absolutely love the environment. The servers are so nice and we just enjoy the food but recently the service has gone down the food has gotten worse and today we sat in there for over 30 minutes and only got a waffle. Once I asked him what was taking so long they looked back at the cook, and the cook didn’t even have our food prepared. They apologized and I told him I would rather just leave them to wait another 30 minutes for my food so they charged me $10 for my waffle and sweet tea . I will not be going back to this waffle house ever again I recommend the other people choose the one in downtown powder Springs. The worst part about this is my children love this spot we’ve been coming here forever and now we will not be going back. We will find a new...
Read moreIt was my first and last time I eat at this location. Me and my boyfriend got sick after we ate here, we were up all night throwing up. This was night so day shift may be different. It didn't look clean, but most waffle houses don't, it's waffle house. The food came out already cold and my toast was burnt (which isn't that big of a deal, but with cold food?) I didn't complain because I didn't want to be that person because the waitress was actually good and really nice, but that was all. I mean waffle house isn't fine dining, but this was horribly unsanitary and the food was cold and off tasting, but I was starving because I hadn't ate since morning. Either the hash browns or waffle was bad because that was what me and my boyfriend had the same, could've been the butter or cross contamination because it didn't look clean in there. Who knows, we won't be going back...
