Experiences at this location continue to get worse - and my wife and I are locals. There is obviously a shift in management. There appears to be no leadership for the staff. We arrived for curbside at 7:05pm for a 7:10pm pickup... put in our spot through my email... received a confirmation stating "we got it and will be right out!" We waited for about 20 minutes and I went inside... only to stand for 5 minutes while 2 lackluster individuals slowly checked patrons in the restaurant out (line wrapped into the dining room) and one gal with 3 stars on her apron slowly fiddle farted around with a birthday card rack. Finally a young lady who was bringing food upfront asked if I had been helped and asked for my name. I told her we had been waiting over 20 minutes for our food. She was the only helpful one there - and went to get our food. When she returned she said we hadn't checked in - which was not the case. I wanted to speak to a manager, but bypassed this because they probably wouldn't care anyway based on how the employees were carrying themselves. The service at this location has dropped significantly, and it was typically not been great before. I doubt we will return anytime soon. I am bypassing local management this time and will be calling corporate directly. This experience has me thoroughly disappointed and comes right in line with our experience at the Cracker Barrel in Kodak, TN and that was horrific! With the upcoming growth in our community, I am fearful of the representation this will present to people coming down 85 and our new neighbors. Unless you have nothing to do in life and just want to twiddle your thumbs, I would recommend the Big Clock down the street on Hwy 153. Stay away from this location until it closes or gets some real management in line. Employees follow their leaders - and there is obviously a significant lack in leadership at...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a meal that’ll really “barrel” you over, then Cracker Barrel in Piedmont, SC is the place to “gravy-tate” toward! I told my wife I was egg-cited to eat here, but she said, “Don’t bacon promises you can’t ketchup!” Well, after dining here, I can honestly say this place is “un-brie-lievable”—I’m not “waffling”!
Let’s start with the service—these folks are so friendly, I thought I’d stumbled into a “greet” expectations novel. Our server was so attentive, I half-expected her to offer a refill on my gas tank, too. She delivered our food so fast, I wondered if she had a “biscuit” up her sleeve. If you’re looking for Southern hospitality, this staff has it “corn-breaded” into their DNA.
Next up: the food. Oh, “my ham and cheese!” The biscuits are so fluffy, I tried to use one as a pillow. The chicken and dumplings? So good, I wanted to “drum-stick” around for seconds. And don’t get me started on the hashbrown casserole—it’s the “cheddar” way to start your day! I ordered the pancakes, and let’s just say, they were “stack-tacular.” My syrupy grin was stuck on my face longer than a stubborn jar lid.
And let’s not forget the gift shop. I spent so much time browsing, my wife said I was “crackering” under the pressure. From quirky socks to classic candies, it’s a “barrel” of fun. I almost bought a rocking chair, but I didn’t want to “rock” the boat at home. If you leave empty-handed, you’ve missed the “presents” of mind!
Cracker Barrel in Piedmont is “egg-sactly” what you need when hunger strikes. The service is “grate,” the food is “souper,” and the gift shop is a “souvenir-prise.” If you don’t have a “pun-derful” time, I’ll eat my hat (preferably with gravy). So, if you’re in the area, don’t “waffle”—just “roll” on in and get your fill of Southern comfort...
Read moreI went in, and I told the 2 hostess' I would like to make a to go order! They informed that you could not do that in person, and I would need to call my order in or make it online! I didn't have a problem with that so I asked for a menu. After I decided I figured I would put the order in online, but paying cash when I picked my order up was not an option! I didn't have my card so I couldn't do it that way. I was frustrated because, here I am walking around this shop with a menu and my phone for 10 min already! I'm trying to place an order that could have been taken when I walked in the door! I then proceeded to try and call my order in, but that evening Cracker Barrel in Powdersville decided they didn't have to answer the phone! So I tried a few more times, by few I mean 6, and they still didn't answer the phone! The sad part was they were not even busy! I saw more of them standing around than I did doing anything else! This frustrated me so bad that I just left! I will not ever go back there again in my life! It was a hassle, very inconvenient, and a complete waste of my time! I wasted 30 minutes in that place, and I didn't even get to place an order! No, I didn't say anything to the hostess' about the situation! I shouldn't have had to! This is unprofessional and flat out ridiculous that you can't even make a to go order in person! Tell me what the difference is in that and over the phone?! I love Cracker Barrel, but this experience really gave me a bad...
