We had previously came here to look around and view modular homes to gauge the quality and service provided over other places we visited. First off right away walking into the door we were paired with a young man named Eli, he told us he was fresh out of college and had just recently started in the business. Already we were kinda in doubt about working with someone with no long term experience. Every question I asked him he didnt know how to answer and would run to his boss and get an answer. We asked to look around at some homes and we did just that, it became uncomfortable to us when we realized he would follow us around in each and every room of every modular or double wide home we wanted to view. In all of the places we previously visited no one has done that to us. We did not like that at all. I told my girlfriend I would talk to Eli while she and my kids go look around by themselves. I sat down with Eli and began going over things that needed to happen for us to begin the process of buying our first home. Immediately I was told they do not have a first time home buyers program when I asked about loan types. I thought that was extremely odd and did not know if manufactured homes offer this accommodation or not. So we sat down with his supervisor and began talking about credit and discussed some things I had to work on. My credit at the time was in the 600âs. They told me before this all started that they work with people with credit starting in the 580âs and all the way up. He said that with my credit I could possibly be approved for a construction loan for around 175k. All I needed to do was get my credit to a 741 by disputing some things or paying some things negatively affecting me⌠First of all Iâm not stupid and I knew I was going to get absolutely scammed as far as pricing goes if anybody believes with a 741 credit score that all your going to get a loan approval for is 175k. But I continued to go forward thinking something doesnât feel right. So I filled out an application after asking all the questions about land and etc. they agreed they would be helping me find land which they did. We had an agreement also that we would be working on my credit score in the mean time to try to raise it in a timely manner BEFORE EVER submitting my application. In the coming days I was able to work night and day with the credit bureaus and my bank to get my credit score up around 15 more points. At this time we had this agreement as I stated we would not submit my application until the 741 mark they were asking for. About a week goes by and we were all in communication about the land and my credit score and had NOT talked about applications.. One day after coming home from work I was checking my emails and saw that I had 4-6 emails from lenders I thought it was extremely odd since I didnât want to use my credit in anyway to hurt me at this point. I saw in the emails that these lenders had pulled my credit score and left me with several inquiries on my credit report dropping my score by at least 10-12 points. This really infuriates me after I spent night and day for a week or so trying so hard to raise my credit up fast. I then sent a text message to Eli asking âHey man did you by chance submit my application already?â . The night goes by and no response until noon the following day. He tried to apologize to me saying it was an accident that he got it confused with another application of someone elseâs. NO that was no accident I knew he wanted to see what would happen if he could get my app submitted and maybe approved by some lender in hopes of him getting his petty commission from it all. Like I said he was young with no true experience doing this!! Completely UNPROFESSIONAL UNTRUSTWORTHY and CONNIVING to say the least!!! The fact that this kid didnât even have enough courtesy to contact me first and I had to call HIM FIRST is utterly unacceptable. Would never recommend this...
Read moreIf you are considering doing business with Regional Homes of Piedmont, you should Know what kind of people they are: disrespectful, dishonest, entitled, bullying and totally lacking in integrity. This is what happened to me: The owners of a property adjacent to ours purchased a home (double wide or modular) from Regional Homes of Piedmont. The home was delivered on Friday, April 6, 2024 at approximately 2:00 p.m. My husband, who normally works during the day happened to be off that day and returned from an errand to find two tractor trailers pulling large, heavy components of the home across our yard. My husband approached the driver of the truck. The driver, Danny Merck, insisted that he had permission to haul the home across our yard. When my husband emphatically denied that, Mr. Merck produced a video that he provided to Regional Homes advising them that they were required to obtain our consent prior to accessing our property. After further investigation, we determined that Justin Posey, a sales agent with Regional Homes, had advised Mr. Merck that he had obtained our permission even though, in fact, he never requested it. The home movers did nothing to mitigate damage to our property. They pulled in, backed up, maneuvered and destroyed approximately 15,000 square feet of our lawn. It looked like the county fair had pulled out of our yard. Mr. Merck provided the names of contacts at Regional homes including Justin Posey and Scott Stephens. Jeff and I attempted to contact both men. Scott finally returned Jeff's call. The company originally insisted that it was "an honest mistake," and said that they would repair the damage. Later, Scott came to our home to assess the damage. He offered to scatter some dirt and straw in our yard. As that would only have exacerbated the fair ground appearance that the movers had already created, we refused. The following day, Saturday, Scott sent Jeff an e-mail letting him know that he was bringing another contractor out to assess the damage. Scott texted that would be at our house at 2:00, "I will see you then." He didn't even ask if that was a convenient time for us. Scott and Justin showed up without a contractor and attempted to bully Jeff into dropping the complaint. Scott was rude and disparaging and referred to our lawn as a "weedy field" and suggested that the damage didn't warrant repair even though they never should have been on our...

Scott walked me through this process from the very beginning and was patient with me even with the 4007 questions I had for himâŚâŚ..daily. Lindsay and Scott both have been extremely helpful and have gone above and beyond to answer any questions and make things work for us. Honesty and transparency are the top priority for everyone here and the genuinely care about whatâs best for your family. I havenât seen anyone in this office that doesnât have a smile on their face every time weâve been there. I highly recommend Regional for anyone thatâs in the market...
