Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Powdersville

Hubby and I went here for lunch after church today. We normally eat k and s for meat and veggies but, wanted something lighter. We also had coupons. It wasnt busy of course it's small right on the end of the shopping center with Verizon. Nice to half to wait 30 mins for your food. The gentleman who took our order was pleasant. I ordered the cuban sandwich it can with a side. Chips, apple kale slaw or whole fruit. I chose chips. They have 5 selections of chips all baked or kettle cooked and the whole fruit is literally like a banana, or apple or another choice. Hubby got the pesto chicken wrap and the blueberry bliss smoothie. With the coupon it totally almost 16.00. The cuban sandwich was great it was a good size portion and the smoothie was a great size for the price and delicious. I LOVE smoothies make them all the time at home. Hubby said the pesto chicken was good nice to taste something different. He ordered the apple kale slaw. Now the apple kale slaw he didnt like he said it had a wang to it but, I thought it was good. So, we traded sides. We will definitely be back. I'll be rolling through the drive through for the smoothies in the morning because they open at 7. I have visited TSC locations in Greenville many times so I was excited about this location opening up close to home. Having a quick, healthy meal option is just what we needed in Powdersville! I have visited 5-6 times now. Every time the smoothies are good and service quick. Other menu options - wraps, bowls and quesadillas are okay, though lacking in protein (meat). However, overall I have had not had a negative experience... until today. I ordered through the drive-through this time, which I should’ve known was risky because I like to order through the app and ensure I’m ordering the right thing and getting all of the options covered. While ordering the worker was very impatient and kept asking “is that all”. For my kid meal and my wrap she did not ask me what sides I wanted nor offer me a smoothie add on. For my kids meal I did actually ask to add a smoothie, peanut butter and chocolate only.. ended up getting charged for a regular smoothie with bananas!! (and yes I received regular size smoothie) Unfortunately my son will not drink it so it will go to waste if someone else doesn’t finish it. Lesson learned for TSC staff - be patient with your customers and make sure they are getting everything they are paying for with...

Currently it’s 09:12 on Thursday sept 14th 2023, I’ve been waiting to order since like 09:04, I had some lady in a pink shirt walk by me not even acknowledge me and yes we looked at each other, she didn’t even say there’s someone at the counter or tell me “we‘ll be with you in second or anything” it currently 9:15 and finally got my order and I got the old sorry our doorbell don’t work, like I’ve been standing here for over 10 minutes and I even had someone walk by me and even then it took 3 minutes for someone to finally come up to the counter and yes I was the only customer either in the store or drive thru. Yes there’s about 4-5 employees working here. Usually I never complain but this time was a little excessive.( since the owner took responsibility for a minor incident, not most owners will come on and apologize and not some automated message and I respect that, just the smalls things that...
