Prescott, Arizona = Ultimate Hiking Destination! With granite boulders, creeks, and lakes you can find a bit of everything in Prescott, Arizona for hiking! And, after you’ve worked up an appetite there’s a vibrant food scene to enjoy in Prescott! One of my favorite places to go after a hike is Colt Grill to grab some of their famous barbecue! You can’t experience the true west without having some barbecue! My personal favorite is their smoked chicken plate. Here are some of my favorite trails: - Wolf Creek Loop, 4.9 miles, 639 feet elevation gain - Lynx Lake Loop, 2.6 miles, 78 feet elevation gain - Goldwater Lake Loop, 2.4 miles, 134 feet elevation gain - Spruce Mountain Lookout, 7.2 miles, 1,738 feet elevation gain - Watson Lake and Flume Trail, 4.8 miles, 426 feet elevation gain Here are some awesome restaurants to check out after your hike: - The Porch Prescott. Try their crepes, flavors rotate daily! @porchprescott - Torme. Their Rustic Pasta is a great way to fill up on carbs after a hike. - Colt Grill. Their smoked barbecue plates are award winning and feature the best barbecue in Arizona! @coltgrillbbqandspirits - Wild Iris Cafe. Grab some of their tasty quiche which changes flavors daily. @wildiriscafe Please make sure to recreate responsibly and leave no trace when hiking in Prescott. That means packing out all trash and waste and leaving it better than you found it. @experienceprescott @tripscout #experienceprescott #sponsored

Nestled inside what appears to be a converted historic home in Prescott, Arizona, Torme Restaurant exudes a cozy, intimate charm from the moment you step through the door. The interior is small but well-designed, with warm lighting, tasteful décor, and a comforting atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re visiting a friend’s home. If you prefer dining al fresco, the heated patio offers a pleasant spot to enjoy your meal under Arizona’s starry skies while staying comfortably warm. Before the main courses arrived, we were treated to a a few slices of herb-infused bread accompanied by whipped cream cheese and shredded carrots for topping. This simple yet flavorful starter set a promising tone for the evening. For drinks, I sampled their seasonal Harvest cocktail, which was refreshing and suitably autumnal, while my we also enjoyed a robust local porter beer that paired well with the hearty dishes to come. Our first course was the Harvest Salad, a vibrant mix of seasonal fruit, pickled golden beets, and figs finished with a tangy vinaigrette, pomegranate glaze, and whipped lemon ricotta. Though the combination of flavors was light and delightful, the salad could have benefitted from more quintessential “harvest” ingredients—think roasted butternut squash, pumpkin seeds, and/or roasted Brussels sprouts (instead of strawberries and blueberries, perhaps apples would’ve been a better fruit to use)—for added texture and fall-inspired depth. Also, the strawberries came with their stems intact, an inconvenient detail that detracted from an otherwise lovely presentation. Fortunately, the next two dishes more than made up for these minor shortcomings. The Sage Seared Scallops were cooked to perfection—sweet, tender, and served atop a creamy lemon basil risotto with a rich sage brown butter. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Ravioli, filled with ground buffalo, sundried tomatoes, and veggies, offered bold flavors, though I found the pasta shell slightly too thick for my preference. Service at Torme Restaurant was another highlight. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. However, when the check arrived, there was an unexpected credit card fee, even though I paid in cash. Additionally, one dish was charged at a higher price than the menu indicated. I chose not to make a fuss and left a generous tip because the service truly shone, but this billing discrepancy was a disappointing endnote. Still, with its charming setting, attentive service, and standout dishes—particularly the scallops—Torme Restaurant is well worth a visit for a cozy and intimate dining experience in Prescott.

My wife and I dined at Torme before a show on a Saturday night. The food was tasty, the service was on point, and while there’s a couple small things to tweak the overall meal was great. We kicked off with the house salad—nice and fresh with some roasted peppers that added a cool smoky kick. The veggies felt local and crisp, but it was a bit overdressed, so the dressing kinda took over, but still a nice salad to kick things off. The other salad was a Caesar salad and it was delicious with a few non Caesar things thrown in like carrots, peppers and onions. First special was the surf and turf: a tender filet mignon with shrimp and scallops, served with a sherry cream risotto and some crisp veggies. The filet was super juicy, the shrimp cooked perfect and the risotto was just right—not too mushy. Total win! The other special was house-made shells pasta with five big prawns, broccoli, and asparagus in a pesto cream sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly—the prawns were plump, and the veggies still had some crunch. Only thing? Both dishes were a little under-seasoned for us. A sprinkle of salt and pepper fixed it, but a touch more flavor out of the gate would’ve been nice. Our server, Billy, was awesome. Super friendly, got our orders spot-on, and even brought out a couple wine samples to help us pick. The wine list was decent but could use a boost—most reds were around 3.4–3.8 on Vivino. (we’ve found Vivino usually matches our tastes). Still, what we picked worked with the meal. For the price, I’d say Torme’s a solid 4.5 stars—great food quality, especially those prawns and filet, and Billy’s service pushed it to a 5 for us. We’ll definitely keep Torme in the nicer Prescott restaurant rotation and be back again.

Everything about the experience was great from start to finish. I made a reservation by phone and they were very transparent that a table outside might not be possible. When we got to the restaurant, I had forgotten that it was the night of the fair and there was no parking anywhere, but the hostess was really helpful on giving me suggestions on where I should and should not park. She even came outside and scoped out the area with us. They had a table ready for us inside but we wanted to wait a little bit to see if something outside opened up. We were going to get a drink at the bar, but a table was ready really quickly, so instead the bottle of wine was brought out to us. It was a nice rosé that was a splurge, but reasonably priced compared to the markup of most places for a bottle. Courtney was our server and she was incredibly patient as I called her back to repeat the specials like 3-4 times. Everything sounded great and it was hard to decide. I appreciate that the dishes were all a little adventurous. We had the steak tartare as an appetizer, a pasta dish and one with fish and pasta for the mains. The portions were huge. I do wish that you could split a plate. We brought home a lot of leftovers. No room for dessert but I'll keep it in mind for next time. This was such a long review, and I could write more since I had such a lovely evening. To the restaurant: if you read this, please make a special of ravioli al uovo! I will love you forever! Editing this to add that I do have about 10000 mosquito bites, so when you go, plan accordingly and wear some...
