This will be partially a review, but it will moreover be a public service announcement. To start out, I feel like I must say a few things about myself. I am a semi regular at the pv location, so I know what to expect from a WZ. I am not particular to extreme spicy food. I rarely go anymore, but as a point of reference at Buffalo Wild Wings I live in the medium to Caribbean jerk range. That does not preclude me from enjoying most of my food with very little to no heat. The real thing is that I just ask for my food to have flavor. That being said, my first trip to the Prescott location was an extreme disappointment. I don't even blame most of it on WZ. It is a new location, and they are bound to have some wrinkles to iron out. I ordered the szechuan chicken. My wife ordered the Mongolian beef. My chicken was overcooked. The service was a bit slow, but the thing I was actually upset about is the fact that my wife's and my food were both tasteless! Now, neither dish is particularly spicy normally. In fact, I doubt ether would be in that "b dubs" range that I mentioned. Both dishes typically do have some good flavor though. I asked the manager about it. He said that they had a lot of complaints of the food "being too spicy." That is insane! As I said, even though these dishes are labeled as "spicy" on their menu, they are normally nothing of the sort! Sure, there is a little bit of heat in both dishes, but that is to accentuate the other flavors. The actual scoville levels of the normal dish, although there, are extremely low. If you don't like any heat in your food, great, that is totally fine. You have the right to enjoy what you enjoy. All I ask is that if you don't like anything "spicy" then don't order something labeled on a menu as spicy and complain about how spicy it is! There are plenty of other tasty items on the menu that are not designed to require heat in order to bring out the other flavors. Please, don't make restaurants afraid to follow their own recipes and serve me good food! It is simple. If you don't like something......
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went in for dinner tonight at about 630. We noticed they were pretty busy, so didnât mind waiting a little bit to get greeted. We got our drinks right after we ordered them and were told they would be right back to take our order as we were not ready yet. We did put in a few appetizers. We ordered the edamame and gyoza. The edamame came around 7:10, and my meal (I ordered a chicken dish and my boyfriend ordered 3 sushi rolls and 1 nigiri, well after we ordered appetizers) came about 5 minutes later. We still had yet to receive our gyoza and my boyfriendâs sushi 10 minutes later, so I went up to the front to ask for a manager. I was told there was no manager tonight, and I needed to talk to him. I explained the situation and he said heâd go check on everything. We got the gyoza right away and the sushi about 10 minutes later. 2 other tables that ordered after us got their gyoza well before us and the table next to us got their sushi long before as well. We were told that weâd get a complimentary dessert and nothing more. I had them heat up my food as it got cold while we were waiting. Our waitress told us she was sorry and that it was her fault. She took our appetizer to another table because she âthought we got ours alreadyâ. The nigiri looked old and the rolls were really wet for some reason? The edamame came cold and the chicken was nothing special. They brought us 2 mochi balls and took off our $6 appetizer and I was asked why I still looked upset but I was just ready to leave. Sad because we were celebrating an anniversary. Overall the staff was very curt, the food wasnât good, just a waste of...
Read moreWent there twice in two weeks. First time was for a birthday celebration. We ordered appetizers but they ended up coming out at the same time our food came out. At the end of the meal we needed the dishes cleared so that gifts could be opened. I kept trying to get the waitresses attention finally she said give me a minute. Fast forward 10 minutes later I tried again and she says to me with a very snotty attitude "I am busy right now" The guy at the register see how upset I was and came over and takes care of what we needed.
Then again the next visit we get the same waitress. We ordered appetizers and purposely waited to order out main meal. Appetizers took an extremely long time. We ordered three sushi rolls for our main meal. She repeated the order to us. When the food came out she had messed up my order. She went back and spoke to the guy making the rolls and looked over at me and they began laughing. Everyone was done eating before my roll came out. Horrible severice once again.
I have always enjoyed this place in the past but will not be back to this location due to the horrible customer service the last two visits. There is no way to call corporate as they do not have anything...
