Enjoyed my first visit to the Prescott Farmer’s Market. Some farmers markets have mostly prepared foods and not enough fresh produce. That was not the case here. I found plenty of produce along with baked goods (including vegan and gluten free) goat milk soap, dates, tamales, samosas, kombucha, grass fed beef, succulents and more. My falafel from Claudine’s Kitchen was fresh and tasty, the pickled turnips added a nice crunch. My daughter enjoyed her red pork tamales and my husband was a fan of the chorizo and egg burrito. I recommend a visit here to pick up some fresh veggies, eat lunch and experience the local culture.
For kids there was a stall with a play kitchen and food. It was home base for crew of kids running...

I came with my new SNAP benefits card, not sure what to expect. The gal at the SNAP booth was friendly and helpful. I visited in January, but I could still find veggies that I use often such as spinach, multi-colored carrots, red onions, yellow onions, green onions, radishes, daikon, and different kinds of mushrooms. Bright red dried chilies looked really good. You can get freshly baked bread and a cup coffee for light breakfast, or you could pick hearty breakfast sandwiches or burritos. You could find a nice combination of succulents as well. I am looking forward to warmer weather when I can expect more veggies and fruits from the...
