Food For the Soul — Restaurant in Providence

Love the food here! Craved this place every day when i was pregnant and not pregnant. I have been going to eat there for almost 8 years. Do not have not 1 negative thing to say about this restaurant. Very small restaurant for a quick bite in or for take out. Small parking lot but there is parking. The customer service is amazing, the man that owns the place is a sweetheart and really cares about his customers.The food is always fresh and cooked by only him! Great portions served, can feed 2 with one plate. Well worth your money. The pricing is $ not expensive. The food options are all delicious it's hard to choose. It's all southern cooking (sweet potatoes/yams , mashed potatoes, ribs, fried chicken, corn bread, greens, Mac & Cheese) and more. Would definitely recommend this place...

This place should be in the fast food category. I don’t like to speak ill of my own so instead I’ll give suggestions. If you’re out of items don’t just make a choice of sides for the customer. You don’t know the dietary restrictions. Take the time to call. If out of an item, take the time to call. Don’t cook so much Mac & cheese early in the morning and have that same pan leftover to serve in the evening if it’s dry. Same with the potato salad. Look into better quality ribs. I get it costs are high but I would prefer to pay $14-$15 for a plate of beef ribs over the $11.50 ribs plate you have now. I ordered over $70 worth of food and we barely at half because it was not tasty at all. Read your reviews and work on making changes to improve. Of course that’s if...

I hope this email finds you well. I recently dined at your establishment and wanted to provide some feedback on my experience. While I appreciate the affordable prices, I must say that I was disappointed with the ribs that I ordered. They were tough and not as enjoyable as I had hoped. Additionally, the sweet potato pie that I tried unfortunately did not meet my expectations in terms of appearance.
