Rise & Grind Cafe — Restaurant in Providence

I’m thrilled to support a local cafe, something that is somewhat uncommon in my neighborhood of Washington Park. This spot is 3 minutes from my home, and is one of the few places I can easily go to work virtually while enjoying a homemade meal.

I ordered an iced dirty chai and baker street sandwich. I really enjoyed the flavor of this meal, it hit the spot of that salty sweet balance. While my chai came out hot instead of iced and I had to use utensils to eat my croissantwich, I don’t find that these small hiccups impacted my experience negatively at all. For constructive criticism’s sake, I rated atmosphere 4 instead of 5 because I found the music to be a bit loud, but not impossible to ignore with a pair of headphones. I think most patrons will be popping in for a to-go order anyways, so it shouldn’t detract from most patron’s experiences!

The café is hands down one of the best parts of the week. SOO MUCH better than the previous owners! It’s a small family owned spot, and you can taste the care they put into everything. I work across the street and find myself walking over at least 2 times a week -sometimes more- because nothing beats their breakfast/lunch and coffee. Food is always fresh and flavorful. And the coffee? Sorry Starbucks and Dunkin they have you beat lol no bitter or watered down cups here! Ordering online is an absolute game changer during busy days in the office!!! Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or need a good cup of coffee to power through your day this cafe delivers every time. Support local, trust me, they’re worth it!!! Thank you Rebekka...

I am so happy to have found this adorable little cafe, just steps away from my work! I got the sausage breakfast egg rolls, which were delicious. I love a crispy wrapper. I also got a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich, on an Asiago bagel. The bacon was cooked perfectly, and I loved the melty American cheese. The location is super cute (inside & out)! Tons of coffee & drink options, and I saw some pastries, that I can’t wait to try next. I love supporting local businesses. The owners were super friendly....
