South Beach Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Providence

I went to this place with my friends today, we sat down to a table and we waited for over 15 minutes and no one comes to us, then I go to the counter and ask the bartender for a margarita and obviously she asked for my ID which I gladly handed her my passport and she looks at it and looks back at me and says it's not me. I told her it was me and that I'm 26 years old, (In the photo I've got straight her but now I've got braids, it may be different but it's still me) I stood there for a few minutes but she didn't serve me so I went back to my seat and we called another waitress and we made our orders then she asked for our ID and we showed to her and it was fine, well, that's what we expected but she then comes back and tell me that I need to show her my ID again cause the bartender said my passport is fake. I actually gave my ID back to her but then I went back and asked for it and said I wasn't happy with that attitude and that we are leaving. They didn't say a word to me or apologized. I want to know with which authority can that bartender tell me my Passport was fake, if I was to fake an ID I'd fake a drivers license but I condemn such acts, I'm a 26 years old woman and I felt offended and so did my friends, I'll tell everyone that I know to never step their...

You know the night was cool enough that I could have given them 3 stars but the moment it was time to pay and get out of there everything went left. Came with my sister and brother and they charged our card several times until the card finally got declined when they should have stopped after the first time it didn't go through because their machine was offline. so there were several hold on the account for over 200 and they said they didn't get their money. Well how we suppose to pay after you got all our money to pay you on hold. Now they asking for license information because supposedly the money won't go through and even though we was skeptical about that we still have them that information and when we ask for a copy of our receipt that becomes another issue they tell us to take a picture of the receipt of the transaction declined and we had to argue for them to give us the original receipt. It was so embarrassing Soooo yeah...

Place is weirdly decorated, nothing matched and the lights in the middle of the tables were filthy . Place was nearly empty as well seems like no one comes here anymore . Customer service was good , drinks were good and strong but pricy . Music wasnt too loud, and they played a little bit of everything, Hooka was good but I feel like we were cheated of tobacco because it wasted pretty fast between just 2 people . The appetizers didn't look so pretty but tasted good and thank god it did because the entrees were disappointing and sub par at best . The rice was burnt and hard and since burnt rice is a very bitter and strong taste even the parts of the rice that was fine still had the burnt flavor on it which ruined it.
