I had a wonderful experience at this bed and breakfast! I'm a big fan of staying in B&Bs, especially those with a lot of history, like Victorian homes or places with a unique story. This one absolutely fit the bill. The building itself is beautiful, and I was so impressed to learn it had been brought back to life after years of neglect, especially for such a great cause. It's a gorgeous property, and they've done a fantastic job restoring it. I also loved that they give local artists a space to showcase their work. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very peaceful and quiet, which allowed me to get a lot of work done without any distractions. It was also really convenient having access to a refrigerator and microwave for my own food. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway!

We live nearby but wanted to check out the amazing things Dirt Palace has been doing - love that the B&B supports their art projects. We were expecting the vibes to be cute but our room was even more beautiful than the photos we saw! Every corner felt so sweetly curated with local artists and beautiful historic character. We loved the wallpaper, big clawfoot tub in our room, and delicious breakfast with apple cider donuts. Also the queer artwork everywhere! You couldn’t ask for a better location. We walked to brunch at Julian’s and there’s plenty to do nearby. This was the perfect stay and we can’t wait to come back soon.

An amazing old house (mid-19 century) that would definitely be interesting to see how these houses look from inside . Well located on the main street ( Broadway) with 20 min walk to downtown. Probably would not recommend for those who got used to standard modern hotel amenities, like elevator, air conditioner, king/queen size beds, fridge or TV in the room. Cold breakfast is quite minimalistic, so I would recommend not to take it into account and rather have a breakfast in the nearby cafes. The owners are welcoming and are very comfort to communicate.

If you like cockroaches, this is your kind of place. We killed them in the dining room. Breakfast is a big disappointment. This is not a standard B&B. Storm windows banging in the wind at night keeps you up. There is no TV. It’s not clean. The shower is rain head only with creepy tile design. Creaky floors and thin walls make it a noisy place. I’m not sure if the 5 star reviews I saw here are legit? But it did suck me in, but you have been warned by an honest review. We stay in B&Bs often and we left after one night. It was that bad. Of course there was no refund on pre-paid 2nd night when we were told a manager would call. Never happened. No surprise. Filter for the 1 star reviews. I read most of them now and they are accurate but buried by these hard to believe 5 star reviews. No experienced traveler would ever rate this place that high....

I had a fantastic time staying at Wedding Cake House! This is a truly unique place, with fascinating history and architecture that the innkeepers have restored to beautiful condition. The rooms are gorgeously designed and very comfortable, with different artwork from local artists in each room. I liked how the location was a very close walk to some of Providence’s best shops, restaurants, and cafes. The innkeepers Pippi and Xander are so caring and a joy to talk to, and went to every length to make sure my stay was comfortable. The B&B business also helps fund residency opportunities for artists, which is great. I loved Wedding Cake House and can’t wait...
