Harold’s Chicken Shack — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I tried Harold's the Grand Opening night. It was extremely busy but they were able to provide fast and friendly customer service. This is not Harold's I understand businesses can be franchised and this is Exactly what this is. Using the name for chicken that isn't able to uphold the name. Fries, chicken nothing absolutely nothing tasted like Harold's. I attempted to give them another go this time via Uber Eats what is shocking is that Uber Eats was waaaay better then me walking into the actual location to place the order. I am now wondering if they are trying to provide better quality of food via Uber Eats, as the prices are doubled then ordering in store. I hate to think that way but not sure what business tactics could be used at this point. After telling co workers the last time I had them it was half way decent we all decided to order. Another disappointment. The chicken tasted rushed. It legit taste like J and J or Sharks. This definitely isn't Harold's. Maybe owners need to actually taste a Harold's location and taste the fraudulent chicken they are trying to betray as such and they can understand...

I had such a great experience at Harold’s Chicken in Maywood! The food came out fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned—the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, just the way it should be. The fries were golden and tasty, and everything was served with that classic Harold’s flavor you can’t find anywhere else.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick even though they were busy. The restaurant was clean and well-kept, which made the whole visit even better.

The chicken here hits the spot when you’re craving that classic Harold’s flavor. Crispy outside, juicy inside, and the mild sauce still gives it that Chicago feel. Prices are fair and the portions are solid.

The place has a real neighborhood vibe, which I like, but service can be a little slow during busy times and sometimes the cooking isn’t 100% consistent. A couple of times the wings weren’t as perfect as I expected. Still, when it’s good, it’s really good.
