Last night around 10:30 pm I had a craving for fried chicken so I decided to hurry before closing to the closest "Fast" chicken restaurant which would be KFC on Roosevelt rd. in Westchester IL.. Of course KFC was closed so I decided to try Popeye's on Roosevelt rd. in Maywood IL., BIG MISTAKE! I pull in the drive thru and was greeted by a voice that sounded like it belonged to a 12 year old high on speed and marijuana. I politely asked the drive thru associate if I could receive the 10 piece special Popeye's was running currently but in my haste had forgotten my coupon. Of course the young lady said she couldn't do that, so I acknowledged and drove back home to get the coupon. I arrived back at the Popeye's with coupon clutched in hand as I pulled into the drive thru again. The same young lady answered very sarcastically with the scripted greeting for popeyes. I acknowledged and requested a 10 piece spicy chicken tender meal of which I now had the coupon for. 9.99 per advertisement on coupon. The young lady as she continued to laugh said that the only had chicken breasts and thighs left. Really? I then requested considering the inconvenience I had experienced could I be compensated with an extra piece of chicken. The drive thru associate with much pleasure informed me that she couldn't. I then asked to speak to the manager, the drive thru employee stated that the manager was busy.I pulled around the front and went inside the store. The manager came out and with much insensitive pleasure told me that she would not as a gesture add a additional piece of chicken to my order considering thy didn't have any chicken tenders which is what I wanted. Finally with much condescending un-professionalism she agreed to give me a free side. Really? The sides cost more than the chicken. My Wife warned me about this particular Popeye's and how Nightmarish the service IS! I understand why the employees attitudes were so terrible, their example is the manager of this store which was even worse than the employees she manages....

I had to push her just to possibly give me a 3 piece that i will not have them make since it's dirty and they don't cover themselves properly anyways. Shes Not willing to do much. Wanted me to drive all the way back and bring the entire chicken after I just worked 10 hours and was far. Couldn't just put my name on a board for the future. even though the Indian guy young boy was extremely nice in drive up window. I had a conversation when I was there. He even mentioned they were under new ownership. I thought I was going to be happy but after finding the nasty c shaped hair I wasn't. Also I know why because as I looked through drive up window no one cooking was wearing gloves AND NOT WEARING HAIR BONNETS. THAT'S DISGUSTING EVEN IF YOU ARE A BOY, BONNET THAT HAIR. ALSO OUT OF 16 PIECES I GOT ONLY 1 LEG. THEN A FEW WINGS. 3 WINGS WERE COVERED WITH TONS OF FEATHERS. TOLD THE MANAGER NANCY THAT IF AN EMPLOYEE SEES A BUNCH OF FEATHERS ON A CHICKEN DONT BATTER THE PIECE. PUT IT OFF TO THE SIDE AND CLEAN THE CHICKEN BETTER. IM DISGUSTED WITH THIS PLACE. EVEN IF THEY DID REMAKE THE CHICKEN THINK ABOUT IT... ITS THE SAME PEOPLE NOT COVERING HANDS AND HEADS WITH BONNETS MAKING A NEW ORDER. IM STRAIGHT. MAYBE THE HOME OFFICE CAN HELP FIX THIS OR THE HEALTH INSPECTORS. UGH, GROSS, STAY AWAY! If I could give this place a ZERO I WOULD! DAMN GOOGLE MAKES U AT LEAST PUTVA 1 STAR WHICH IS NO FAIR THEY DESERVE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI pulled up to the drive-in I was the third person in line it seem like we sat there forever before the line even moved and by the time I moved forward there had to be 10 cars behind me so I made my order and that g price and had my money ready, and when I pulled up to the window to pay and pick up my order the woman tells me if you want what you ordered Wicked chicken it'll be another 5 or 10 minutes before it's ready! And it's not the first time something like that has happened. My feeling if you're in the fast food business and you know it's a busy time you look ahead. And you don't take orders when you know that what I'm ordering isn't available for the next 10 or 15 or 20 minutes without telling me. And why the lines that there for the first 15 minutes and not moving at all I have no idea and then somebody came out with the order I guess from the first person in line who was sitting by the window. I don't know what that's about but I think it was the order being backed up that they should have asked them to move forward so they could keep taking orders and servicing people I don't know what the difference is maybe there was some special situation but it seems like everytime I go to that Popeyes there's some kind of problem. I try to avoid that one when I can but if I'm in that area there's not much choice if I want Popeyes. I've been to quite a few other Popeyes and it's really not a problem at least not...
