One thing I know is that it would be your own people! July 2024 I put down a deposit with Aniya who’s the niece of the owner. She was very nice and showed me the venue virtually since I was living out of state at the time. The party was set to be on November 23, 2024. Aniya told me that she would email me the contract but never did. She did send me the receipt to show proof of my down payment . She gave me a date when the last payment was due which was the week before the party and she also told me that I can make payments between July and November if I wanted to and that I can call her at anytime. That was the last time I talked with her. I called her 2 weeks later which would have been August and no response. The number that was on the website doesn’t work either. By the time September came, I texted saying that I would be in town and I will like to see the place in person and make a payment. No response and mind you I still haven’t talked or met the owner yet! I ended going up to the venue where I seen 2 ladies waiting outside to get inside so they can decorate for their friend’s birthday and the host was already 45 minutes late to let them in! Both ladies also told me that the niece is notorious on taking people money and go ghost on them and that the aunt aka the owner was very rude. So finally someone came and opened the door. 3 other ladies pop up to get a tour of the place from the owner who btw NEVER showed up to meet up with them. A HOT MESS!! So since that was enough of red flags for me, I decided to dispute my down payment with my bank and decided to have my party elsewhere. Fast forward to November 23 which was the day of my party that was supposed to be at this venue, guessed who gave me a call?? The AUNT AKA THE OWNER! Her response was that “ain’t your party today” and I was like ummm my party was supposed to be today at your venue and how come I just now hearing from you when I did a down payment with your niece back in July who ghosted me?!? And her next response was “Well I don’t know what Aniya be doing, but the down payment is non refundable but we can reschedule your party for the spring of 2024” I’m like naw and hung up the phone because I was getting ready for my party. First of all why did you wait the day of my party to give me a call? As a Event Planner myself if you’re workers aren’t doing their job right and there’s no contract that was sent and the other half of the payment was made you would have been called the customer! Just straight trash! And to even worked your mouth to say that down payment was non refundable let me know that you don’t know how business works. No contract was signed by me saying that NOTHING WAS NON REFUNDABLE AND NEITHER WAS THAT RECEIPT. So my bank didn’t have no problem giving me back that money. I worked in the dispute department as well. So nice try! I guarantee you that as long as you lack professionalism, and like of communication plus you and your staff trash attitudes, your business will be shutdown down in the next year or two! And according to the reviews….everyone ain’t lying! It’s a beautiful venue though I give it that but please pleaseeee DO NOT RENT...

If you or your family have an event at this venue CANCEL if you can or ONLY USE CASH!!! My sister rented this venue for her birthday party. They had a bar and several of my family members credit cards were used the VERY NEXT DAY! It took a while to discover due to the fact that fraud happens often but when several family members reported back confirmed that their credit cards were also was compromised the next day it didn’t take a genius to figure out that one or both of the bartenders were stealing! When we contacted the owner for a resolution her and her staff were very unprofessional, offered no apology, or assistance getting to the bottom of it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE.It’s very sad that you try and support a black owned business and this is the result, it left a stain on a beautiful evening and I was going to refrain from taking this to social media but the people deserve to know. On Sunday, February 23, My husband's 76 birthday party was an embarrassment. However, the RED FLAGS were there!!! Day 1. - 45 minutes Late for our initial meeting . -Ridiculous rental cost -Number on contract was never answered -Venue(room; furniture, kitchen, ) was absolutely FILTHY. -The party started at 4:00 had no Bartender until 6:00 (they came off the street). -Rot gut liquor was put in expensive bottles passing It off as top shelf. -Management was the Absolute the worst, totally lacking professionalism in every aspect(need to take business classes). -Catering at 5:00 came complete with sodas and water which was objected to by management.
