This S2 was not good overall!!! Not a lot of parking at all with the small lot we had to park across the street busy Roosevelt RD! Get inside was seated right away waiter seemed ok to start made a recommendation on the daiquiris we should order so we did.She brought our waters out with know straws so I asked for them she disappeared. When she brought the Daiquiris out I asked her again for a straw for our waters she turned around reached behind the bar got two straws handed it to us (Just confused why she didn’t do that when I first asked) Far as food we ordered jerk salmon Alfredo pasta and jerk chicken Alfredo a side of two lamb chops and two daiquiris. That was the worst jerk sauce ever it was sweet no hint of spice I even asked the waiter for extra jerk sauce it only got sweeter! The salmon was cooked good but was bland whatever cheese they are using for their Alfredo sauce needs to change immediately was not tasty at all highly disappointed!!! Jerk chicken Alfredo was just bland all and all! The lamb chops where very good the only thing I actually enjoyed cooked perfectly where juicy with great flavor!! The daiquiris where ok couldn’t taste any mango and it was like one shot of alcohol in the 12oz so u barely tasted any of it! So then we are ready to go waiter is know where to be found for 25mins we started talking to the table next to us and even they noticed, had to ask another waiter to get our waiter she finally comes say oh y’all ready to go left again to go get to go containers and cups for the daiquiris that took another 15mins just for her to not bring the to go cups or bags for our food!! Then she disappeared again for another 15mins brought the cups still no bags, disappeared again for another 15-20mins I caught her walking pass with someone else’s daiquiris she said when she get back we can walk to the end of the bar where she will ring us up(odd) so another 10-15mins pass she finally comes back waves us to the end of the bar where I had to ask for to go bags. She rings up our food surprise with the gratuity because service wasn’t good recommendation wasn’t good I definitely wasn’t about to tip for that!!!! I know they are new to maywood but they need hard extensive training from the other S2 restaurants because this was not it! I would only consider going back after a few months to see what improvements they made but that’s only a consideration
Update 5/17 They got they act and food together they just needed to work out the kinks from first opening they did all of that and more will continue to support this business did an Uber eats of the turkey leg and sides ain’t nobody in this area competing with them...
Read moreI have been to this place several times now, but today was different. All I wanted was 2 large daquiris to go, it was crowded as usual, but I waited patiently at the bar for the young lady dressed in all black with long braids down her back to get to me. It finally was my turn and I ordered the drinks to go, gave her my cc and waited for my receipt, which never came. The young lady handed me my cc back and said thank you. I asked how much where the drinks, she stated $45.00, receipt-not working. Okay, I immediately thought strange. Came home, checked the bank and from them I had $49.30 charge on my bank statement. I immediately called the City Grill and asked for a manager. A lady came on the phone, I just asked her if it sounded legit for 2 large drinks to cost so much, I told her what kind I ordered/size. She asked me who waited on me-she said the girl with the braids-I agreed. She then told me to hold on and she would be right back..guess what?? I am still waiting for her to come back to the phone.?? I included a screenshot of how long I have been on the phone. Oh someone just hung up the phone after 54m and 7s..Wow they can afford to keep a customer on the phone for that long. I just wanted to know if the young lady over charged me? But now, I feel differently. I will keep calling or contact the owners who are all over social media to see if this is the way to do...
Read moreWent there Sunday night to pickup food (first time ever) the lady security move the cones to the parking lot for the car in front of me, after greeting, chatting and laughing with whoever was in the car, the car went in, once she saw me she put the cone back and said "No! you can't park here.. move.. keep moving... keep driving.." I assumed that the parking lot was full, I straighted my car and got out to say that I was picking up but she didn't let me say a word and keept saying "you got to move.. you're blocking my driveway.. cars need to get in.. this is for dine in people only.. keep moving " My 20 yr old daughter got off the car and went to pick up the food then I found a parking space on the street, I went to the security guard and asked "How did you assumed I wasn't dining?" she only shrugged her shoulders and didn't say anything, by the time the male security said I need to be search before I pick up my order, as my daughter was coming out with the food, the guards then say "oh, you couldn't come in because you had kids in the car... it's 21+ tonight" but they never asked my daughter if she was 21+ I was shocked that they denied service because I'm hispanic, the female guard NEVER asked why I was trying to go into the parking lot, neither gave options to park. People who order food are not entitled to go in the parking lot? What type of...
