Jay's Wok (Chinese Kitchen) — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I was very pleasently surprised by my experience at Jay's Wok in Westchester on Wolf Rd. in the Village Commons Shopping Center. I ordered beef chop suey and Mongolian beef. Wow what a culinary delight, tender mouth watering beef and lots of it. Vegtables cooked to perfection not soft and mushy, excellant. Savory suce and gravy made this a wonderful meal.I also enjoyed the family atmosphere with the staff of Jay's as the little ones did their homework, they were adorable. This place is clean efficient and the staff friendly. I most ceartainly will return and highly recommend to others this unique culinary delight. This is not your standard Chinese food , but a five star experience that I highly recommend to all. I will be back for more at Jay's Wok. I really wouldn't listen to Rick Cavelerie or his reveiw as I had an excellent experience and nobody should trash a business on one experience its just not right. Despite living around the corner from this place we never ate there until today. We were missing out! I find in most Chinese restaurants that if they make a good hot and sour soup, then the rest of their food.is good as well. We started with a hot and sour soup that was excellent and, true to form, all the other food was great as well. My wife is on a temporary vegetarian diet so we ordered General Tsao's tofu and Schezwan veggies and both were very flavorful. I ordered from here 2/16/24. We ordered egg foo young and it was very dry! Sesame chicken with very little sauce and old broccoli, chicken fried rice that was barely seasoned. I’ve ordered multiple times and the food is normally great! Because of this I called and the manager yelled at me and told me that I should ask for extra sauce. Then told me to come back and bring the food and she would refund me. They were closing in 2 minutes and I told her I would come and she said were closed and hung up on me.
