Rocky's Gyros with Slots and Video Poker — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I was very disappointed after coming here for years, stopped in to pick up a beef and a gyro sandwich to go. Waited over 10 minutes, beef was cold and barely any meat on the sandwich, I could of counted the slices of beef(5) no taste! So disappointed! Didn't taste fresh, the gyro was ok slightly warm, not heated on the grill the pita bread slightly warm and hardly any taziki sauce.The service also was not welcoming. And another thing the prices really went up and they no longer have daily deals! I spent $24.75 for two sandwiches with fries and a drink. Next time I want a good Beef or Gyro I'll take the ride to Ridgeland and Roosevelt to Pete's hot dog stand in Berwyn! Too bad, Rocky's use to be good. By the way I wouldn't be complaining or writing this review if at least the food was good! Very disappointing. Gyros meat looked like they have been there past their expiration date.

Only 2 employees, one just sat at a customer table. The other took orders stopped, prepared food stopped and packed it.

Then when he was done he started my order and did my order. Took a while since he could only do one thing at a time . Gyros are smaller more meat in a jumbo hot dog. Sauce was sour and plain white with no sign of cucumber or garlic. French fries weren't fresh.

Menus are hard to read especially the Asian food one. Less choices on the original Rocky menu.

All in all I will skip going there . Only 3 others in the store, one working and one sitting and me the customer. No slots people but side street parking was full. The parking lot doors had one locked and you had to walk around to get to the unlocked door. I think they used to have a beer licence but no beer...

Our family has been going here for over 20 years. The previous owners would bang their heads against the wall if they tried this culinary disaster. Pete and John wouldn't serve this kind of food (call it food) Went back 4 times even after asking why the food has changed. Told it's the same and they are keeping to to original way Rocks made it. I CANT TELL fries suck. Worst than Wendy's The ROCKY burger was the go to mom and pa original. Now a soggy mess. Gyros is hacked off in chunks not slices and dry with no sauce unless you ask for more. It won't help it Nothing I have ordered in the past year has been anything close to ROCKYS original cooking. Any reviews giving the new owners more than 1 Star MUST BE A FRIEND OR A FAMILY MEMBER. too bad this was one of the last good go to places around here. Can anyone suggest another...
