Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Provo

Wish I could give zero stars. My husband is a full time student and works part time, while I stay home with our two young children. You can imagine how excited we were when we got a Cold Stone gift card for Christmas. We went to get ice cream for our family and decided on getting the pre made pints since it was 2 for $10 and we could get the most for our money. We quickly realized when we got home that it was not the same quality ice cream. It looked nothing like the picture on the front, the mix ins were sparse and it was even missing one of the mix ins altogether. Having only taken a scoop out of one of them, my husband quickly took them back to the store to ask if we could either get different ice cream or our money back. The managers there had him call their owner Greg and my husband explained what had happened.

Greg told my husband that he got the product he paid for and that he wouldn’t do anything to help him, even somehow turning it around saying that my husband somehow owed him money? Even though my husband was calm and civil, the call ended with Greg telling my husband that he was annoying, didn’t want his business, and called him a “little s*” before hanging up. I’m not sure if Greg was having a bad night, or if he always treats his customers like that, but it was unacceptable. I ordered a custom ice cream cake for my husband’s birthday and when picking the cake up, I also ordered some ice cream to go. I came to this location specifically because oddly not all locations offer Snickers in their stores. Not sure why. We were all disappointed when cutting to the cake and digging into the ice cream. We ordered double snickers mix ins in the cake and there were maybe 3 pieces in the whole cake! In the ice cream, there really weren’t any brownies we could find at all. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with the quantity of mix ins considering I spent $50 on a very small cake and ice cream. I want a response from someone about this. I want to know who is making the call to not add in proper quantities of mix in items. Either the owner or a manager is making this call and I’m telling you, you will lose business not following the recipe guidelines. It’s very upsetting and on a birthday! I’m so disappointed and I’ve never had this happen in the past but this is my first time at the Provo Cold Stone location. I wouldn’t recommend this location. You will be disappointed with what you get vs paying $50 for cake and ice cream and disappointing everyone at the party. The service was immaculate though. Came in on 3/11/2022 a 11 pm Behind the counter and glass counters were dirty None of the kids working greeted me and they all looked at me They didn't help til about 10 mins and finally a young girl addressed me She didn't do a very good job in fact she started mixing my ice cream and then walked around in circles talking to other co- workers She wasn't focused I ordered the the strawberry blonde and she got carried away pouring the caramel She reached for a love it size cup I reminded her I asked for a plain waffle bowl she proceeded to grab the waffle bowl with her hands inside the bowl I told her I didn't want the one she touched with her hands please get me a new one It seemed like there was no supervisor to assist these kids working Grateful they are working but honestly if I opened this ice cream store I would check all of them about how to run my business THEY SHOULD ALL BE WEARING GLOVES serving ice cream The girl helping me scratched her neck with her bare hands and hair proceeded to mix my ice cream and it made me disgusted I like this is the only place that stays open late @ 12 am Handels and Baskin Robbins 31 Flavors should...
