Firts: My experience yesterday afternoon Dec 26, 2022 415pm aprox. was not the best at this Olive Garden in Provo, Ut... We registered on the Internet page and it gave us a 15-minute wait. We arrived, I checked in through the same page and when I went to the entrance counter I had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes more... Second: They seat us and I see half the restaurant empty and the lobby full of people waiting... Third and worst: We had a very friendly and cordial boy waiter... he took our drink orders. And at the moment another waitress comes to take the same thing and we told her we already have a waiter.... She said they assigned me here, it's my area and the boy agreed to her place. And that was the worst. It wasn't nice at all. Named Mariah, skinny with very long hair. She is always very serious, with gestures on her face that are in bad taste for me. I asked her for the very specific order and she brought the order as she pleased. 🍽 I ordered chicken and he brought me shrimp. And the skirt very little. 🍽The second order was brought and without the sauce inside the plate. Well all a chaos the orders. She never brought us refills on our drinks or water 🥤🧊🍹, we had to ask for them. He didn't bring refill on the breads either, we had to ask him for it. When I asked her for a second salad refill at the beginning 🥗 she made a bad face. And I asked for it because the first one had several trunks of lettuce, wow I don't know why they put that out and it brought very little. I didn't eat out of disgust and I asked him for a small plate to take away. She brought it after a long wait. He didn't bring the bag, let alone gave us the chocolates at the end of paying the bill... When I left I went to the delivery counter to ask for a bag and chocolates🍫 and they very kindly gave it to me... I won't return to this Olive Garden the same thing happened to me once in Sandy, Utah. If you are not fit as a waiter or waitress or serving customers with good service, you better not go to work and stay at home. And Managers go around the tables and make sure your employees are doing a good job serving us customers... You go to eat to have a good dinner and atmosphere and you come out angry, hungry and 😞...
Read moreI used to love this place!! It has gone significantly downhill over the years. I used to come get their spicy shrimp frita and steak gorganzola pasta. Both were amazing!! They no longer have either of them. Because their pasta and sauce is ridiculously overpriced, I have started to get the neverending soup, salad, and breadsticks. Salad generally doesn't have much dressing, and you get a lot of dry pieces. Zupa Toscana and breadsticks are really good, which is why they got the extra star. I also found out today that they are not a great place for kids anymore. First, it's silly, but the menu is not a good material for crayons, so they can't really color ehile waiting. Secondly, we got our food at least 10 minutes before our child. Why would you do that?? When it finally came out, the plate was so hot that the server had to use a towel to carry it.. IT'S FOR A CHILD, seriously?. Luckily, we had an extra plate that we moved it to. The server we had was polite and did refill our soups. Also, we came a bit early to beat the crowds. The restaurant was 1/2 empty, and we still had to wait 5 minutes to be sat at a table in a very crowded section. I asked for a booth, which is something we should have been asked, especially with a toddler, just to be seated in the bar section. WOW!! Overall, it was very disappointing and where it has been mostly miss instead of hit the last few times. I would say it's pretty official that I no longer consider this Olive garden one of my go-to's. Sad day. I hope they will someday be as good as...
Read moreThis was more than a ruined evening. Four of us met in Provo, Utah after two days of travelling from British Columbia on our way to the Huntsman Senior Games in St George, Utah. As we were directly across the street from an Olive Garden (and all of us have enjoyed various meals at OG) we walked from our Inn to the restaurant. We were placed at a table by friendly, courteous staff and set about studying the menu to facilitate our “travel induced” hunger. As we perused the menu, one of our group asked for a beer and was promptly asked for his ID (we are all over 68). Once the server noted we were all from Canada, she said she could not serve us any alcohol. We were quite taken aback from the comment and in the discussion we asked to see the manager. He looked at our ID’s and told us that unless we had some form of US identification, that he could not serve us any alcoholic beverages. Quite honestly, at first, we thought he was joking, but he quickly indicated he wasn’t. We kind of looked at him and each other and immediately decided they obviously didn’t need ( or appreciate) our business, so we left. A couple of US patrons were very taken aback by this and said they were shocked and unaware of any such policy. We have all agreed we will not embarrass ourselves again by trying out any other Olive Garden establishments and we are passing on our feelings of exclusion brought on by this event to our many friends and ball team members that have travelled to Utah to partake in these games. Shame on you...
