Momo's Gourmet Cheesecake Co - Orem — Restaurant in Provo

I shared a very dramatic review over on Momo's IG page so perhaps I'll tone it down for this review.

THIS IS THE BEST CHEESECAKE I HAVE EVER HAD. Oops, I did it again.

Where do I begin? I feel like texture in cheesecake can be weird. But Momo's Cheesecake is so smooth but not runny and not too firm, literally perfect. The crust - ok, full disclosure, I am a basic crust person. Don't try to wow me with your Oreo crust, it's NEVER been done right -- UNTIL NOW. It isn't grainy or dry. Again - perfect. Finally, let's talk flavor. You think when you buy something that claims to taste like White Chocolate Raspberry you're either going to get strong raspberry flavor or raspberry essence. Again, Momo's nailed it with the prefect balance of raspberry and white chocolate and you really can taste the white chocolate!

I've tried three flavors so far, Raspberry White Chocolate, Triple Chocolate and Biscoff. Raspberry White Chocolate is my FAAAAV! Triple Chocolate is a very close second and Biscoff was yummmy and did not disappoint!

The price is totally fair and I almost feel like I'm cheating because I'd pay more for these! I used to wish we had a Cheesecake Factory in Utah County but not anymore, there is no need when we have an even better option - Momo's Gourmet Cheesecake!...

Went today for their storefront grand opening! By the time we got there (right before dinner) they were already running low on cheesecake - this is just 2 hours from their grand opening time (3pm-8pm). I was warmly greeted by Octavio - super sweet man. I chose the individual sized Strawberry cheesecake, which came with an Oreo cookie crust (first time tasting a strawberry cheesecake with an Oreo cookie crust!). I also received a mini bite sized peach cobbler cheesecake with a graham cracker crust. I was surprised I actually preferred the peach cobbler cheesecake, mainly because it was made with the graham cracker crust. I guess I’m more traditional that way? The cheesecake texture on both were delightful - you can tell it’s freshly made. Octavio also informed me of their horchata drinks as well, to try for next time. We got the Oreo cheesecake and it was just… OK. Nothing special about it. We get cheesecakes for every occasion and these tastes like the normal Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake frozen from Walmart. It’s not “Gourmet” just, Ok. The inside has a small sad Deli display case feel. Granted we’re from Wisconsin and our cheesecakes are unmatched for the same price… I’d expect a lot better look and taste for something of this price. The cheesecake we bought is just a normal cheesecake with a thin crust, and dollops of whip cream. VS the cheesecake at the same price from back home which has a chocolate cake base, creamy cheesecake, raspberry filling topped with soft chocolate ganache. Overall it’s just an OK place.
