It used to be a 10/10 park, but they changed the playground and it's not quite as good as it used to be. The playground, although still kinda fun, is a bunch of one-trick pony type of activities, such as a hammock thing, Zipline, and hanging ropes. Not only are these features too difficult for children and too small for teenagers, they also only have one way to use them negating any need for creativity. Because the several features aren't easily connected, it makes it near impossible for games like Grounders and Color-tag (both versions of tag).
All in all, the new playground is not as good. On face value, it may seem very fun, but taking a deeper look reveals several flaws that the old playground...
Read moreLots of shade! As usual, most BENCHES for watching kids on the playground are actually in the sun, but one was in constant shade! The BIG TOY is wheelchair accessible!!! Restrooms are reasonably accessible. The stall door opens all the way. There are swings, monkey bars, and several slides. A WALKING PATH encircles the park. There is an OPEN FIELD for soccer, frisbee, etc. It borders two baseball fields. There is a small BASKETBALL COURT with uneven payment. There are three TENNIS COURTS. Read moreI can't believe I didn't realize sooner what this place has to offer. The kids had a blast and there was so much for them to do. I was jealous I couldn't be a kid again and join them. Mind you, we were only at the playground but from what I could see it was a lovely park all around. I will definitely be bringing the kids back. It was a fantastic way for them to play together and apart. Great exercise, skill building, and pure fun. It was as relaxing of an environment with the shade trees and falling leaves as it was exhilarating with its cleverly engineered swings, track ride, and climbing frames.
