Aloha Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Pueblo

We ordered: Crispy Salmon Burrito, Chicken Katsu, Aloha Mix Combo, Crispy Dumplings. We were pleased with all of our food. Crispy Dumplings were a great starter - super hot, crispy and flavorful. Crispy Salmon Burrito was very good, good mix of flavors and seaweed wrap was not overpowering. Kiddo says Chicken Katsu was amazing and I agree, tender chicken covered in crispy panko and a yummy katsu sauce. Brocolli was firm, not tender, kiddo scarfed it all down. My Aloha Mix Combo was very good, Beef Short Rib is sliced very thin but was tender and full of flavor. BBQ Beef and Chicken both very good, and even better with teriyaki. I like their sauces, teriyaki and katsu were not sticky sweet like so many other places, letting flavor shine through. Fyi, Mac Salad does not have ramen in it. It could use a little something, but not sure what, does not have traditional Hawaiian mac salad flavor, but did taste fresh made. I often don't do five stars. But this place has the best crispy dumplings. I can eat them all day. They are good on their own, but when you dip them into that sauce it takes it to a whole new level, it's a flavor party on your tongue. I am addicted to these things and have been for a couple of years. Not long after they opened. I recently started drinking their strawberry milk tea and it's very good. They need to bottle up that sauce and sell it. Liquid Gold. I dropped my bag, lost all my sauce, I just want to cry. Seriously try their dumplings. Amazing. Oh man I just now remembered they have fried ice cream it's very good too I forgot all about that. I personally don't put chocolate on mine, I don't like chocolate but I add caramel and it's so good. Restaurant was clean. Girl at register taking order was friendly. I asked what was one of the best sellers. She said any of the Hawaiian bbq dinners are the best sellers. Got the meal with chicken, beef and ribs. Meat was moist and tasty, but more bone then meat. Same with the beef rib dinner. Ribs are actually "riblets". Rib dinner was suppose to come with 3 riblets is what girl taking order said. And meal only had 2. That meal was one of the most expensive items there. When I called to tell her. All she said was sorry and that's it. So check your to go order before leaving. Also, order chicken items, you get more for your money .
