THE ORIGINAL GUS' WOODEN PLATTER WAS FILLED WITH GREAT CHARCUTERE, THE BEST CAPPACOLA, DRY SALAMI, RICH CHEESES, PICKLED PEPPERS AND GREAT FRESH CRUSTY ITALIAN BREAD. THE BESSEMER STEELMILL WORKERS MAKING AMERICA GREAT WERE SERVED WELL. IN THOSE TIMES LONG PAST, THEY WOULD FILLUP WITH FOOD, AND STEINS OR MUGS OF BEER. The people were nice. The food was slim pickings and looked like the vegetables were cut and left out overnight, the pickles were soft to the point it was inedible. The few slices of lunch meat they give you tastes like it's been in the cooler a bit past the best buy date. The ambiance however was pretty cool, loved the historical significance and stories behind the place but the food was bad enough I had to say something. Please fix the food.
