Very disappointed... ordered 3 cherry dip cones and 2 lemonade for a total of 21.90. Received 2 20 oz cups of lemonade (not Nick's trademark fresh lemonade) and 3 of the messiest dip cones.
The lemonade, although served with a pretty slice of lemon, was disgusting. It tasted like it was fountain lemonade. When I asked of it was fresh lemonade, they said no, its not. I asked, "So this is not one of the recipes from Nick's? " She said no. I told her this was horrible lemonade and not worth the more than 4.00 per little cup. Nick's lemonade was one of the best things about Nick's.
There was literally cherry dip covering the entire cone including the wrapper. I watched the girl fill the cones and put them in a holder. Then as they were melting, she tried to dip them. The first one was somewhat servable. The second one dripped everywhere, including on my car. The last one I watched her dip it 7 times. Each time. The dip and a large percentage of the melted ice cream slid back into the pot of dip. Finally she threw that cone away, probably since 40% of it was in the dip pot. She got a new cone, tried again, but not right away. She put the cone in the holder, walked in the back and came back out. Again, the ice cream was melted so the dip would not stick... I was served a lopsided, dripping, messy cone with no fewer than 10 napkins wrapped around it because the dip was everywhere. To top it off... the cherry dip didn't even taste like cherry! It tasted like vanilla coating. Probably because of all the ice cream dumped in it.
I was very disappointed and will not go back. Better customer service at Taffy's and lemonade that doesn't make your face scrunch up. So sad that Nick's isn't what...
Read moreWhat a nightmare experience and joke of an operation this place has become. I sat in line for 45 minutes and was extremely dissatisfied with the service and product.
First, my order was made with the wrong ice cream and the kid asked if I wanted it remade. When I said yes, he copped and attitude and said it will be a wait to get it remade. Then he brings out the order, a pikes peak split, which was different from the way it was always made in the past. The pikes peak split was iconically vertical and the cups they were served in were perfect. Not only was this a completely different product from the old pikes peak split, with no knowledge to us as long time customers, but they also did not have containers that closed completely and there was a mess trying to transport them. I asked the kid if there were containers that closed for the car and he said no and just gave me napkins.
I also asked about them being horizontal instead of vertical and he gave a smart mouth response about it being that way ever since he started.
The ice cream itself is no where near as creamy as the old Nick’s.
This was a Pueblo gem, now it’s not worth the time and definitely not worth the money. $19 for two...
Read moreVery very disappointed, I have always ordered banana splits and they always have chocolate pineapple and strawberry sauce. This time it only had chocolate was told only the pikes peak had all the sauces. If that's the case they should really have a description on there menue. In all the years I have went to Nick's this was never the case. I let her know I didn't care for all chocolate and was just ignored. Both items cost the same price so I don't understand why she couldn't add the other sauces. I also ordered two dipped cones. The ice cream was so soft everytime she dipped it the ice cream fell. She dipped it and put it in a cup. The dip was then stuck to the bottom of the cup and no longer on the ice cream. This could be because while she was getting the ice cream from the machine another girl was pouring the cream into the machine at...
