Giving it a 1 star for food, but that is it.
We arrived at 7:00 pm on a Friday night and was told the wait would only be 35 mins. Being a Friday, we expected a little wait so we were okay with it. 8:00 pm arrives and we finally get a seat and order our food within 5 mins, which was a dish of curry, a cashew chicken dish and pad kei mao (sorry for spelling). We finally got our food at 9:05 pm! We waited from 7pm-9:05 pm just to get food! The only reason we waited so long was the thought of "we waited this long, it can't be much longer..." The food was decent, however at that point I am sure ANYTHING would have tasted good.
The most infuriating aspect of it all though, was the sight of about 15-20 tables worth of takeout food that was constantly being ordered and put ahead of our food. I could have ordered the same food for takeout at 7pm, picked it up at 7:30, brought it home to eat and repeated 3 more times for the same amount of time we were there for our one order.
It was obvious the problem was very short staff (only two servers, although how slow the food was, that wasn't an issue) but they couldn't of had more than two people in the back making everything, including the takeout which was clearly their only focus. The last time I had to wait an hour an a half for food, the restaurant (a different one) was nice, apologetic, comped our food and welcomed us back to give them another shot. I don't go fishing for discounts, however the lack of customer service to reassure us that this never happens and they were sorry was apparent, which leads me to believe this is an ongoing occurrence.
It was the customer service and horrific wait time that ruined this place for us, and for that we will never be back and I advise you to stay...
Read moreFood was absolutely amazing, and as someone who works in the service industry I can say that the chef did his damn best to get to everyone as quickly as possible (I think there were about 5 other tables besides myself when I sat down) as well as a few to go orders that were being picked up. He was the only staff member working and I came mid rush time— it is a smaller restaurant so it doesn’t take much to fill up. I had the avocado roll (waaay bigger than I expected and honestly just that alone would have me full) and the chicken larb that I asked for to be spicy. I wasn’t in a rush, so I was fine waiting… Especially because a coworker recommended it and honestly good food is worth the wait. I don’t know if it’s normal for it to be a one man show— and if it is honestly the people complaining about wait times need to take a seat. You can see the entire kitchen when you walk in and like the restaurant itself it’s TINY so you only have so much space and able to do so many orders at once and the menu is fairly standard for a Thai restaurant.
I do think some more general upkeep/updating would be for the best though. There is definitely a need for more storage area for boxes/equipment. There was some sort of machine stored in the women’s bathroom? I would definitely still come by again if I wasn’t leaving WA...
Read moreWhen we stopped in, there were 2 other tables. The waiter took a long time to take our order, did not refill our drinks, check on us, or offer chop sticks. When we inquired about Maggi or Golden Mountain Sauce, he stated he had no idea what either was. The coconut prawns we ordered had 7 total and they were heavy, saturated with oil, and difficult to eat, costing us a whopping $16.95. The Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) had okay flavor overall but not a lot of sauce, very small amount of basil, and the noodles were so over-cooked they disintegrated & turned into mush as soon as they hit our mouths. The texture of the noodles were gag-worthy and definitely not what I expected. On the other hand, the “Drunken Noodles” contained perfectly cooked vegetables!
The atmosphere is okay but definitely aged and needs a good cleaning, carpets are dirty looking, and some areas on the ceiling are patched or have stains from leaks (for example, the kitchen area looks have what appears to be cardboard taped to the...
