After going here for a few months I have slowly lost faith in POPO. My fist time in February I was pretty satisfied! the Boba was really hitting a craving. After a few weeks of going there I ordered food (Brocolli beef) and although it took about 15min to cook, everything tasted amazing.
After a month or 2 the restaurant showed its true colors. They have a drive through thats open once a month and its really frustrating. We ordered the Brocolli beef again and the Brocolli was moldy and the beef was grey. Also the staff forgot that we ordered and so we waited 45minutes for expired food. The drinks starting becoming inconsistent either the Boba was old or the boba tasted burnt the drinks were crazy sweet or just milk and the oreo crumble is just dust. We tried their milk buns and you could taste the stale bread mixed with fryer oil. Although the staff are super nice they're on their phones a ton which was one of the reasons why they forgot our orders. I sadly had to give up on POPOs when my drink had Boba that tasted earthy and I was throwing up the rest of the night.
Pops has the potential but it's currently not there. I bet some of their other drinks are consistent and good. For now I'll just make my own Boba tea but after trying the restaurant for a few months just be aware and...

I NEVER leave reviews (good or bad), but I felt the need to add my experience, so people save their money. The first thing we noticed was that we had not been given what we ordered. First off, we ordered potstickers for about $10 and they gave us buns instead. Second, when I opened the hotpot I was in disbelief. There was mushy lettuce, barely any noodles(even though we ordered extra noodles), and the broth was chunky like it was curdled, and smelt and looked like watery salty milk. Additionally, it had 0 spice and had NO BEEF…. sorry for yelling but WHAT DID I PAY FOR???
We spent about $70 and ended up throwing away most of it, after getting SICK! I mention how much we paid, because we are college students and don’t have money to throw away. So the fact that we threw the food away is a big deal!
We also got boba from here, and it wasn’t bad. Truly, it was its only saving grace. However, that does not mean I ever would order it again from here.
Anyways, please don’t go here until they make some serious changes! I would hate for a business to fail, but clearly they do not actually care about their customers seeing as there have been several reviews like mine over the last year.

Read moreIt definitely is a place just for college students. There were just two very young girls there, and they didn't get part of my order recorded. There were no sauces available even though they were listed on the menu. The vegetables in the soup were raw and the dumplings overcooked and mushy. The calamari was good, but the egg rolls had nothing but packets of soy sauce, not even packets of sweet and sour, and you have to tip before you get served so you can't tip according to service. It was very spartan inside, with the only decorations overpriced stuffed anime toys for sale. Definitely just a place for tea or boba drinks, the food was very disappointing. I should have walked right out when they said the chicken was off the menu and there's only like 5 things on the menu to start with. Very overpriced as well $9 for a small bowl, like smaller than a cereal bowl, of giant chunks of uncooked onion and carrot and green onion with 3 frozen pot sticker dumplings in broth. For just me and my daughter it was over $60, and the spring rolls and calamari were obviously just frozen and deep fried. It was less than McDonald's quality food for bistro prices. ...
