Okay. Went to the bean on 41 this sunday for the birthday of the shop its self. I was pretty excited to finally try this place after driving by it for a year. I noticed they have some good lunch/brunch options. Noticed right away the way everything was being ran was awkward and dis organized. The cashier seemed to be new and training so i gave her a break for sure. The two ladies that helped me were indeed very sweet. So that being said with a trainy the oder placement took a bit of time as to be expected. But here is where it gets bad and why i give this shop a 2 star rating. We sat down and waited for our drinks. First off i was handed a random drink i didnt order. Second the 2 other people i was with did not get the coffee they ordered for atleast 1 hour and 30 mins. Even after 4 times of people who worked there asked us about it. The danishes we ordered came to the table.. Then taken away 3 times (to heat up) untill we got our coffee finally. I ordered a chicken salad sandwhich. Which did not come to our table for 1 hour and 45 minutes. That was beyond me. Its just chicken salad.. My buddie got a bagel with becon, egg and cheese. This also did not come to the table till about 1 hour and 45 mins. Once i got my chicken salad. It was very wet and watery. Very salty. Had a very familiar taste to it.. I was almost positive that this chicken salad was made from a can of chicken breast. It seemed as if the chicken salad was slapped together in the back with little to no oinion. Little mayonnaise mixed with the contents of the can.. It tasted so salty.. As if my chicken salad was dipped off the punta gorda bridge. They claimed it was ' famous chicken salad." Might as well just drove up to publix and got a grab and go chicken salad and a starbucks premade coffee. Being a little shop my expectations for this were high. Atleast i figured a chicken salad that took 1 hour and 45 mins to make was going to actually be "famous chicken salad" and or just an okay lunch. Although i was left with a dry mouth full of salt and bland coffee. Shoulda had a wawa instead. Keep it up " the bean on 41" and your business will shoot down the hoops. EDIT EDIT EDIT. Well, that was just a great response owner of the bean. Not even an apologie from you guys. You seriously just claimed you have 4.5 stars after my horrid experience at your shop. Changing this to one star and getting my highest reviewers to come in and give there honest opinions of this horrible coffee shop. Edit: not trying to be malicious. I simply explained the whole story of the two hours i spent there on a day that was the store birthday. Expected after 1 year of driving past this shop to be good. The guy making the coffee was slow and dickish. He did Not like my buddies response to how the coffee was made wrong and not to order after 145 mins waiting for just a drink. None of us ordered the sausage gravy. So seems to me you guys didnt even read this. Which is honestly really sad. I thought a local shop would pretain to local customers. But you guys obviously do not. I highly doubt you were going to give my a 25$ gift card to your shop. Kinda convenient how you decided to give me a gift card AFTER i edited my complaint to this shop. No i would instantly decline that offer of a gift card. I do not want to waste any more time waiting over an hour for a coffe when dunkin down the road gets it right in 3 mins or less. Shame to you guys being immature. VERY SAD HOW YOU EDITED YOUR RESPONES A THIRD TIME TO HIDE WHAT...
Read moreThis is my 3rd time at this lovely coffee shop. 2nd time for having a meeting with a friend for hours. We were never rushed. Never felt that we are taking up their time. It's a very relaxed environment. You are taken care of! I love the atmosphere and the service is "home" like. Please consider stepping back from the DD and SB (the other big names) and try this place out. Bring a friend. If you're in a hurry, go to the other guys. If you want to enjoy a cup of coffee and possibly some light breakfasts/or lunch, come here. This is the place for more deep conversations and relaxed feel. Whatever they do for their coffee, it is very friendly to my messed up gastrointestinal issues. They use reverse osmosis. Just an FYI for those with sensitive...
Read moreI'm unable to rate accurately on food and service. As for atmosphere, I suppose I wouldn't be able to rate on that either since I am turned off by the division that has clearly been created. Hey I'm a Republican but old school I guess. Left and Right need to get along and an establishment such as this one isn't helping. I grew up Republican and my family had get togethers with NOT JUST LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE. They had their disputes, argued a bit and nobody felt unwelcome and they remained friends that's it. How about making a small change so as to make every single person feel welcome regardless of their perspectives. Nothing more I...
