I have been seeking the best place for Octopus Ball = たこ焼き(Takoyaki) in through out East Coast of USA and few places in LA.
Also I tried few other Tbaar in Brookline and Chinatown, Boston,
but
THiS Tbaar in Quincy, MA, right close to MBTA Redline stop Quincy Center makes the best Takoyaki !!
I live in Allston (Boston) MA but it's worth to visit Quincy for this yammy side dish option. only things missing for Japanese Standard are Aonori and Beni shouga (青海苔 & 紅生姜)but THiS creation doesn't need them. Large Octopus pieces in all balls, super fresh ingredients in this Tbaar, as matter of fact freshness of ingredients are in better quarity than regular super markets around.
WoW !
at this season I have with hot tea especially with Maccha Green tea Latte with two scoop of extra sweet red beans, get folk for digging red beans at the end.
tako ball comes with tooth pickish to poke takoyaki. I usually have two orders of takoyaki ! great price for the best Takoyaki....
Read moreI have been living in Quincy for 6 year and still discovering cool places here. TBaar was my discovery today and I'm so glad i entered this place for a smoothie. I ordered Mega C+ smoothie and it was delicious! They are located so close to Quincy Center Tstop (less than a minute walk). Place is clean stuff is friendly. Some people may think it's a bit pricey, but honestly I personally don't mind to pay extra to enjoy a clean tasty smoothie. They also have teas/refresheners, bubble tea I believe. Will be definitely back! And since I take train at Quincy Center I'll have to stop by more often 😂 Oh, almost forgot to mention. I also got 2 pieces of dessert. And one of the employees was kind to warn me that one of cakes I picked is with a exotic fruit flavor and if I ever tried it before since some people don't like it due to specific taste. I still got it to try, but think it was very thoughtful of him...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went there tonight. We ordered 2 drinks and 3 snacks: Tbaar green milk tea, taro slushee with lychee jelly, purple sweet potato fries, spicy popcorn chicken, and takoyaki.
The snacks were always so delicious: they come out piping hot. My favorite was the fries because it comes with the spicy mayo; the fries had an even amount of crisp without it being mushy.
The popcorn chicken is always good. However, it can be a little salty, so if you have sensitive tastebuds, make sure to tell them to add less salt.
The takoyaki balls had an even amount of sauces and flakes on there. They come with six pieces.
Overall, the place was good, they have foosball, board games, and books for you to hang out and chill. The snacks are small for its price, but there are more perks...
