Trying the Thyme Square Bakery and Cafe in Quincy IL! Very solid breakfast spot. One of the better biscuits and gravy I have tried and I try them everywhere! 🔥 go check them out 🙏🏻 #foodreview #eating #mukbang #food #illinois @britt @emmy

Excellent breakfast spot in Quincy IL. I always love to try new places all over the country when I have some down time. I tried the salmon and lox for the first time ever. Flavor was good but not really my style. I can see why it's a favorite with some people. The real winner was the chirazo and egg with potato breakfast burrito with home fries. The house made hot sauce to put on top really pus this meal over the top. Hot sauce was bursting with flavor and coupled with the perfect amount of heat rounding out this meal was coffee, mimosas and a small bowl of watermelon that not only is the sweetest I ever tasted but is also locally grown. Highly reccomend this place to anyone who values a good meal and excellent service. All the wait staff was extremely friendly

Went for lunch. Ordered the duo, half a sandwich and half a salad. I got the grilled cheese. It was tasty, but not much in it. The bread was rather greasy. The salad was greens with strawberries and almonds. It was very small, even for half. I think it had 1 strawberry cut in quarters. It was just ok. I also ordered a mixed drink. Could not even tell there was any vodka in it. As this was called a Bakery and Cafe I asked about dessert. They had either macaroons or 1 type of cheesecake. That's all. I skipped both. Service was minimal at best. I was ignored the whole time till it was bill time. Overall a bit disappointing considering the rating. I can't recommend it.

Terrible management/service. I'm sure they have great wait staff/kitchen and great food, but the owner/management is not accommodating whatsoever. My family tried to go here for lunch on a Saturday. We arrived at 10:50am and were the only ones there trying to get a table. We were told that they were switching things over from breakfast to lunch and it would be about a 10-15 min wait. We said no worries. We sat right by the front desk in some chairs to wait for our table, got our 2 young kids a cookie while we wait and were excited to try out the restaurant. We watched as many others walked in, put their names in and then took seats in the waiting area for lunch to start. Around 11:15 they began seating tables and never called our name, which was odd since we were the first group in the restaurant for lunch. We watched as parties of 2, parties of 6, etc. all got called ahead of us and so we checked to make sure we were on the list and we sure were. The manager lied to my wife and I saying "we had reservations that got seated first". We know that's a lie because we had been there before everyone else and watched as their names were written down. We ended up leaving the restaurant after we had been there over 30 minutes and were told it would be an additional 10-15 min before we would be seated. The manager/owner continued to make excuses as to why the first group there would not be seated first and claimed there was just nothing she could do as I carried my screaming/hungry children out of the restaurant to go to McDonalds. Where we were greeted with much better service. I would like to add, I have NEVER left a bad review for a business EVER. But this experience was terrible. I bet the food is good, but I will not be attempting to...

When we visit Quincy to see family, it's usually around the holidays, weekends, and arrival is later in the day. Therefore, we haven't been to have the opportunity to dine here since they do breakfast & lunch; closing at 2pm. TOO BAD. I would totally make this place my meal destination every time. Here's why. Quincy has crap food at crap restaurants. (less than 5 establishments worth effort) Our sandwiches were fantastic & fresh, with thoughtful ingredients. They menu options were mouth-watering, using great ingredient pairings. There wasn't 1 sandwich I would not have ordered, so the decision was tough. I settled on the chicken salad, but requested wheat bread instead of the croissant. Divine sandwich. Husband had ham & cheese with provolone & red peppers, also fantastic, although the meat was sparse. Server was warm & friendly; food served promptly. Special requests met with a smile. We will always pay extra for GOOD, FRESH FOOD.......however, I was surprised they were charging $9 for a sandwich & chips in small town USA. This will not effect our decision to return, just wish they would add more hours. ...

I frequent here often. Never have problems with the food and that's saying a lot as I am very particular about my food, the appearance and how it is served. 10/10 for the food.

I typically have the same waitress everytime I go in over the past year or so (great service. Worth the 30%+ tip. Her name skips me but you can't miss her. She has gauges/plugs in her ears. I recommend you ask to be served by her if possible).

This last time I went, I did not get my waitress and the girl I got was quite forgetful. No utensils. No refills. No check ins. I felt rushed. I could keep going. I got the impression that she felt I wasn't worth it.

Aside from that incident, the food is one of the BEST in the area, the owner (I believe her name is Erica) is lovely and the atmosphere is just perfect. I will return and revise this review if I get better...
