Bluntly, I thought the main reasons why I stayed away from Subway since 2018 were due to a) discontinuing $5 footlongs due to increased food/operation/labor costs and b) their plastic loyality card based rewards program for points for free 6 inch or foot long subs was discontinued in favor of a ripoff 'reward' of a $2 coupon and c) phasing out higher end proteins like pastrami, roast beef, and oven roasted chicken leaving mostly duller basic options I could obtain from any major grocery stores deli section. Now I have to have to add another reason to add to the list - employee incompetence.
I was given a gift card as part of a holiday present this year. I had no interest in using it and would rather pawn it off to someone else. For some reason, I decided instead due to the spirit of the new year to attempt to cast off my old negatively and give Subway another chance. Sure, prices might be higher and the menu must have been revampted, but it was still a more healthful option for those seaking more than a basic burger and fries right?
So, after nearly an hour spend the previous day to figuring out how to enter a code to unlink and relink my e-mail to the new confusing digital only 'MyWay' account I could finally make my order for a foot long Meatball Marinara for in store pickup while seated in the nearly barren parking lot. After the suggested 20 minutes of waiting, I go inside expecting to find my order on the counter or shelf, (maybe confirm who I am?), grab it, and go. Nope! My order has not even been started due to assisting other customers. All right, fine. Not their fault they had other walk in customers. My sandwich artist had everything written down in front of him for my order so this should be a very smooth transaction in under 5 minutes right? Wrong!
My toasted sandwich was for some reason built on top of the trash hole so that the topping were falling out constantly. Now I can reasonably expect a veggie slice or two falling out onto the counter to be replaced between the bread, but not 2 of the sparse 8 meatballs (it use to be 10 in a footlong) that fell out into the trash hole as the sandwich was being rewrapped due to the sauce soaking through weakening the sandwich and the paper it was perched upon. Who really wants a quarter of their food gone due to the person on line not paying attention to what they are doing? I was speechless. It was the saddest, soggiest, mushiest, pathetic excuse for a sandwich I ever recieved. And to think this was my go to sandwich years ago for when I wanted something more substantial and nutritious than a standard basic burger. Subway you deeply...
Read moreThe only thing I can say about this store is my last visit that I had with these people will never make me come here again they are very incompetent whenever you order at least for me anyways they didn't even write anything down so my sandwiches were incorrect and then when I tried to get the sandwiches replaced the owner Mr Barry Saylor told me that I had to return the sandwiches and with covid going around at the moment that's not very safe at all we are in a pandemic and they want the sandwiches back? so when I said that I probably won't be able to return the sandwiches they told me that will not be able to help me so I basically wasted money for sandwiches that I paid for and they were all incorrect and Mr Barry Saylor was very very rude, so save yourself a trip and do not come to this Subway if you want to go to a good Subway go to one in E-Town or the one further into Radcliff do not come to this Subway they are incompetent and very rude I have already reported the owner and this store to corporate and I hope that they get in trouble seriously...
Read moreDon’t bother trying to use a Subway coupon cause they won’t accept them. Even tho they send them to us?! Tried using a valid coupon and the owner (he said he was the owner about 14 times in 5 mins) started losing his mind. Screaming saying he refuses to accept the coupon because he doesn’t make as much money and that I need to be paying full price. I said it’s a valid coupon and you have to accept it or else it’s considered false advertising. He screams again saying he doesn’t care. I told him I wouldn’t be back and that I’ll be filing a complaint with cooperate. He then comes around from behind the counter gets in my face and screams I don’t give a f— about cooperate now get the f— out...
