My high school graduating class recently celebrated our 70th year with a birthday party with about 100 in attendance. Red Barrel catered the event for us and all the feedback we received regarding dinner was positive. The food was absolutely delicious! The potato salad was some of the best I have ever had and I am very funny about potato salad, in fact I usually don't eat it out. Red Barrel arrived when they said they would, were professional to work with, food presentation was good, food was plentiful, and they left the kitchen and buffet area as clean as it was when they arrived. As soon as we said seconds were available the crowd was back at the buffet! When you do not hear one negative regarding a meal, only positives, that says a lot. Raven, the owner of Red Barrel BBQ & Catering, is the best to work with! He is so incredibly kind, prompt in communication, and patient (getting us several different quotes when we couldn't make up our minds, lol). Above all, the BBQ was DELICIOUS! There were lots of self-proclaimed "BBQ snobs" at our Derby party, from all across the south, and everyone wanted to know where we got such good, local BBQ. Also, the portions were huge! We probably got twice as much food as we were expecting. We had the smoked pulled chicken, smoked pulled pork, and coleslaw (which was nice and vinegary and complemented the meat so well). Man I don’t even know where to start, this is some of the best if not the best bbq I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this business because it will definitely only get better! I won’t say too much but I don’t even eat corn and their food has changed my perspective on a lot of foods I didn’t like because of how wonderful and tasty they make everything and they make sure to cook everything thoroughly and they don’t rush anything to make sure their customers get what they want.
