I'll admit when I am wrong and I was definitely wrong when I lost faith in RHC customer service. There was a shipping issue that had resulted in myself leaving a significantly negative review. My knife had been sent to the wrong address and I had to go get the package myself. My issue was being billed for shipping when it was an hour round-trip to recover my beloved Halloween knife. I felt it was only fair to have refunded the shipping when it was the company's mistake. I had spoken to a customer representative at RHC that was apologetic and owned up to the error, but that is where it had ended or so I thought. I then wrote a negative review and called it a day. Before I know it, the owner of the company reached out via phone to visit with me regarding my experience and my online review that had voiced my frustrations to the world. He let me know that he had respectfully responded to my online review and wanted to speak with me about fixing the shipping error. His first order of business was to refund the shipping and to let me know how important customers and good customer service is to RHC. We had good conversation and by the end of it, I was inquiring about purchasing another Halloween themed knife. Per our phone visit, they were able to pull luck number 13 from stock sell it to me asap. They didn't even charge me shipping this time! Like I said in the beginning, I'll admit when I am wrong and I was definitely wrong. They have wonderful customer service and I should have requested to speak with another company representative before I left a review that chastised the entire company. I have been ordering Halloween knives from them for years and I will continue to do so in the future. Lessons learned on my part and RHC is still an...
Read moreVery rude manager...got an item that was supposedly an "antique" (bought it for $60). Had no idea at the time, it just looked like a collector set to me, and to be honest I doubt it is antique, the craftsmanship was very poor quality and cheap plastic on the handle...the display case the knives were in was damaged on the inside, so due to the damage and poor quality of the knives I took it back to exchange for another item. I was told they didn't allow returns on antiques. I informed them I had no idea it was an antique and there wasn't anything on the case it was in stating such. After speaking with the manager (an older lady with white hair) and pleading my case, she allowed me to return it, but was VERY rude about it, and said after this in not allowed to return ANYTHING else ever again. I told her I didn't know it was an antique and she said with a very nasty attitude "Does this look like a new knife set to you?" To which my reply was "I don't know, I'm not a knife expert!" She made several other rude comments to me and actually accused ME of being rude!! After telling her there was no need to be nasty with me, she said "Oh, I'm not being nasty. I can show you nasty!" Really terrible experience, definitely won't be shopping there again. On a side note, after price checking their knives, most of them are way overpriced as well. I ended up returning the "antique" knives I had bought for in store credit (they don't give cash back for returns) and bought an $80 Ka-bar hunters knife...later I saw that the same model knife is $20 cheaper on Amazon. So you might want to...
