With us coming in from rocky mount and garner, and family in from Florida this past week, five of us went to breakfast at the farmers market and then toured our favorite marketplaces on site. I always love the cheesy pretzels at Annelores and stopped by to look. Didn't particularly want a pretzel Saturday after a large breakfast so we selected a few items from the display case. A choc shortbread with pistachios; a creme filled chocolate gob and a cream filled choc chip cookie to take home with us. they were for dessert that night.
well, sorely disappointed both in value ($6 each and $18 for the three items was a shock - should have thought a little longer - and then what was really a let down on freshness and flavor and consistency on the shortbread for sure; seemed like it may have been made days ago and watched the little icing and pistachios just break away and fall off. the filled cream choc chip - same way and we didn't eat all of it even. and the creme filled choc gob - similar as not high quality and seemingly old and dry. very disappointed and we will stick with the GREAT cookies just down the way at the market next time. I may have even had my last cheesy pretzel even though my son in law fight over them when we're there. Sorry to have to set this out there; but it is what it is and it was not good for me and...

Just found out they have a physical cafe and might make the trip to explore their other treats...

I do it every weekend. So please don’t tell me about what it takes. The farmers market use to be very reasonable. This was a joke. Never another penny from me. I noticed they don’t post the cost. They are counting on you to not make a fuss. Post your prices and see how...
