If I could give less of a star nail I would do it , I put a cake for the birthday of my 7 year old son and it was what I could do when I made the request by recommendation [it was my first time ordering here] the lady usually does not confirm and answer the messages , two the cake the presentation was not so bad ah as the photo asked , on the day of the accent the cake when we chopped it was all so dry, raw that was the flour because it was not really cake , flour cake , the knowledge was old bread with a horrible smell right there I called him never answered and I sent him msj and answered after the middle of the next day telling him that he was going to leave his house which was where my husband picked him up , I do not answer that I beg you are on vacation that I was returning until Monday , I arrived Monday I wrote him and very convenient that he arrives late and the days later he tells me that he has to try the cake to see if in fact I was right, because I told him to return my money, oh I was going to report to the cake bank for which page $93 and I am here writing and even without any answer from it, do not buy, they will regret doing it , I do not recommend it is more I think you should close your business because in reality they are NOT long cakes to do. I ended up with a lot of last-minute reservations to a birthday party and went from needing a cake for 40 people to be big enough for 60 people. No surprise, there were no ready made sheet cakes (let alone chocolate ones) large enough in any grocery stores. I came upon this bakery during my desperate search and picked out a size and "Over the Hedge" movie design and the owner told me it would be ready in ONE hour. Not only was it GORGEOUS, but he even added a cherry-chocolate mousse layer in the middle. And it really was finished in an hour. (Green Cake)

I went there again for a smaller birthday cake 2 years later (Blue Cake). This time I chose a chocolate mousse filling that was very light and sweet and had a strawberry filling instead of cherry. I like how the icing is always more airy and not overly surgary tasting. I did have an accident transporting it so that the Y on Birthday got lifted off when toppers fell over and also made a small hole in the cake because I didn't remove the toppers when closing the cake box, but it still turned out beautifully and even a small piece was very filling because of how...

Valentine's Day, lazy husband. Need carrot cake. And it's SUNDAY!

So I start the usual Google Maps search looking for open bakeries on a Sunday. Called several places that were open with no luck for carrot cake. By chance found Balcazar, open, but they didn't have any carrot cake. Never fear, they offered to make one and turn it around in 1.5 hours! I was assured the baker made excellent carrot cake. As you can see, I had very little choice but to go with this option. So I place the order and tell the wife we have success! (with fingers crossed) I arrived right on time to pick up the cake (6p sharp). The very nice lady that took my order over the phone was excited to see me. She even wanted to take a picture of me with the cake before I left. She was very sweet (pun intended). Ok, that's all well and good, but was the cake good? My wife and I both LOVE carrot cake, and know not every carrot cake is created equal. Such is the case with this one. IT WAS DELICIOUS!
