CAVA — Restaurant in Raleigh

LOVE cava but I will never return to this location. It is the closest location to my work but I would rather drive farther to avoid dealing with this place. A lot went wrong in the 20 mins I was in there but I will skip through semantics and get to the point of this review. They NEVER has the ingredients needed for orders. This has happened every time I have been here and it is the main issue I have with them. It would be nice if they at least told you what they're out of when you order, but they don't so if you want to change your order, sorry. Today the worker didn't know what went in my bowl I ordered so I had to read the menu ingredients off to him. they were out of 3 ingredients today for my order and two ingredients in my coworkers bowl. This can be very disappointing when looking forward to lunch. They dont even ask if you would like to substitute an ingredient, they just dont put it in and leave it up to you to notice when an ingredient is missing. They forgot my extra pita that i Pay extra for and when I asked for it, they lady seemed very annoyed because I was holding up the line. They were also out of ice in the ice machine. WOW! It was our first but not the last visit. The food was 👏🏾 amazing. We arrived to see lots of pick-up and delivery orders and small line. Two minutes later, the line was at the door and beyond. It was impressive to see a small crew of about 3 workers in the lune, move lots of orders.

The line worker was very patient and helpful to us, as we shared it was our first visit. The options for the bowls were great, all tastey, and full portions. It was costly compared to other restaurants who have bowls, but when we taste the food, we appreciate it more. The food is elevated in flavor and combined it is a symphony of great harmony.

We have changed our eating habits to a more healthier selection. Cava gave us a great variety to select from. We appreciate it.

This location was so busy that they were challenged in keeping up the cleanliness of tables. We also saw a change in workers shifts. Nevertheless it wasn't horrible. We sat ate and talked for about 1 hour. When we were leaving and other shifts came on, we saw someone starting tp clean and sweep. The order line increased, but flowed swiftly.

This is my favorite Cava, the food is always great but DO NOT use the pickup to order at lunch time. You’re going to get your food a lot quicker waiting in line. I don’t know what happens at lunch time but it is extremely unorganized. I scheduled my pickup for 12:15pm, and about 6 people were waiting in front of me when I got there… and some orders were completed right as customers were walking in and seemed to have an on time pickup. I got my order at 12:50pm, and now only have 10 minutes to eat my lunch and go back to work. There were still 3 people that were there waiting BEFORE me when I left. The atmosphere at that time is so awkward. The people walking in to stand in line are looking over at the giant crowd of pick up orders the entire time from the moment they walked in and the moment they walk out or sit down to eat their food lol.. everyone in the pick up side is frustrated cause “how did they get their food before me and I’ve been waiting longer than them…?”… it’s just very chaotic. Management - please come up with a better solution for pick ups!! I want to give this place a 5...
