Not really impressed. First I saw their restaurant and I clicked on their website to look at the menu and I saw that you could sign up for their email and get a free board. I did it, but when I mentioned it to our server, she said one unfortunately you can’t use it on your first visit. The whole point of marketing is to bring people to your restaurant so if you put some thing out there that says sign up and get a free board why wouldn’t you be able to use it on your first visit, so looked at it and nowhere on it mentioned that it just says you have to use it within 30 days. But we let it go and we ordered a board anyway. The board was delicious everything on it was really good. We were able to get four different choices. We both ordered Caesar salads for our meal. We asked the server if we could place everything at the same time we didn’t know that she wouldn’t understand how to space our meal so the appetizer came out with our salads which were our meal, so that was unfortunate. Lettuce in the Caesar salad were brown and wilted, and the dressing tasted very vinegar to me almost as if there were pickle juice in it. It wasn’t the worst salad, but it was not the best salad I could pick the brown lettuce and eat what little bit I could but unfortunately the price of the salad Was something that I wanted to eat . The server never came back to refill our drinks until toward the end of our meal when another person refilled our waters and then the server came by and asked, and I quote “you good”. We asked her for another round and the bartender had to bring it to us because it set up at the bar. It is possible that this server might’ve been the only person on the floor that day, but unfortunately that doesn’t farewell for the customers. This was my first time coming there, I gave the coupon to someone else because I won’t be going back not now or in 30 days. I do wish them the best and hope they get their act together because it’s a very great location and I know they’re fairly new there so I’d hate to see them get off on the wrong foot. A little personality goes along way when you’re waiting on tables, and if she had come back to ask how her meals were, I would’ve maybe told her about my salad, but she didn’t. And then when our bowls were pushed to the end of the table and they were not even halfway empty, not once did she say was everything OK . Be weary when checking the email is to get your coupon. Apparently the rules change when you get to...
Read moreI would like to share that I was hosted as a Yelper during my visit to the new Postino in Village District. I intend to return several more times in the upcoming weeks and will adjust my review accordingly.
Upon entering the space, it was not initially apparent that I was there for a Yelp event, as the event had been ongoing throughout the day. Upon my arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the host, who exuded energy and sweetness, appearing genuinely excited to see me.
Despite the presence of multiple individuals at the front, when I mentioned that I was there for an event, I was promptly seated without hesitation. They placed me in the perfect spot to observe the entire front end of the restaurant, which was fantastic.
My server, Shaun, was exceptionally kind and attentive. He displayed a thorough knowledge of the menu and went the extra mile to ensure all my queries were addressed. As one of the first 100 guests, I received a glass of rosé, which I must say was one of the best I've ever had. I also ordered the bruschetta board, which consisted of four different types:
BRIE, APPLE & FIG SPREAD MEXICAN STREET CORN SMOKED SALMON AND PESTO SWEET N’ SPICY PEPPER JAM & GOAT CHEESE
Let me tell you, the board was incredibly delicious - I almost finished the entire thing in one go, but held back so my family could taste it too.
The restaurant exudes a cool vibe, with its dark wood and stylish wallpaper setting the mood for the entire space. There is ample seating, and I genuinely felt like I was in a luxurious living room, savoring delicious bruschetta and a fine glass of wine.
Overall, my experience was exceptional, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have visited. If you have the chance to go, ask for Shaun - he is...
Read moreWe had a family group of six on a Saturday night during a holiday weekend. You would expect problems with seating or service. We had neither. Reservations are needed if you are planning to go on a high traffic period. We sat outside on their large patio. The wait staff was charming and so attentive. The food was not just good, it was fabulous. We ordered "snacky" things while we perused the menu. These appetizers are small plates or tapas sized so worked well for the table to share and try out. We selected Olives, Roasted Mushroom Fondue, Skewers, and a Bruschetta Board that comes with four selections (Brie Apple and Fig, Ricotta Dates and Pistachio, Chef's special Mexican Street Corn, Prosciutto Fig and Mascarpone) for our snacky things. Everyone from 14 - 73 years of age loved these and they were gone immediately. For our dinner we chose a variety of sandwiches (OMG grilled cheese, Caprese, Italian Beef Dip, Chicken & Mozzarella, Prosciutto & Brie) as well as the Chef's Charcuterie Board (individual or two person sized). The soups that we ordered were clearly created in house (French Onion and Tomato) and had the rich taste that complimented the sandwiches. Items did come out of the kitchen at different times since there was a different preparation time for the variety of items. This was not a problem because we had ordered the appetizers for the table and so everyone always had something to continue snacking. The wait time was not excessive and the waiter always kept us abreast of the order status and what we could expect to come out next. The manager stopped by a couple of times during the meal to ask how everything was going. Overall it was a lovely evening and one we will hope to repeat many times...
