Uniquities — Local services in Raleigh

I absolutely love this store and have purchased around 10 dresses here. My experience has always been wonderful until today. I came in to return one dress I bought in person five days ago, and although I didn’t have the printed receipt with me, I explained that I am a regular customer and that the purchase was linked to my account.

Unfortunately, the staff member who assisted me at first, Sofi, was not very willing to help. She firmly insisted that I needed the physical printed receipt in order to process the return, without offering to look up the purchase or explore other solutions. I understand policies and I also understand that not every employee may know all the procedures — I’ve been in that position myself — but I believe the approach and attitude make a big difference.

Thankfully, Abby at the front desk handled the situation with great professionalism. She immediately found the receipt, explained the process clearly, and helped me complete the return with no problem.

I don’t like leaving critical reviews, but I hope this feedback helps improve training and customer service for future experiences. Not necessarily for me, since I already knew the policy, but for customers who may not.

I have been shopping at Uniquities at North Hills for over 10 years. The clothing selection and service cannot be beat! My tastes have evolved with my age (now almost 40) and Uniquities has always had something to match my style through the years. Catherine Allran, the manager at North Hills, has been beside me during this time. From the beginning, she has learned my tastes and always pulls the best options with price and occasion in mind. Most importantly, she is honest. She would never let me purchase anything that didn’t look amazing. She has styled me in everything from jewelry to jackets to shoes to pants to tops. For every occasion as well, whether it be formal, casual or business attire. Her opinion is invaluable. She is very approachable and we have developed a friendship through our years together. I love shopping with her because it is always like being with your most stylish yet honest friend! I can’t say enough great things about the service and clothing this store provides. And Catherine won’t ever steer you wrong! Uniquities at North Hills is definitely my favorite...

Unfortunately, this was a super unpleasant experience. It was my first time visiting the store, but the moment I walked in I was immediately met with dirty, judgmental looks from the staff. I walked up to one associate to ask a question, but she was on her cell phone. I waited to ask her a question, but as I was waiting she abruptly turned her back, walked away, and continued texting. I did get to speak with one attendant, she was kind, and helped us at the moment. As I shopped, I continued to get dirty looks as if I couldn’t afford any of the items there. I did watch 2 of the store clerks approach other women, offering their names and assistance, while continuing to be ignored myself. I was shopping for a work conference and could easily afford anything, however, the hostile environment prompted me to leave. So if you plan to visit the store in comfortable clothing on a cold day, prepare to be dismissed...
