Extremely mid empanadas. Recommend Sarah's or Naked Empanada instead. Ok prices but not great, tried both sauces both were very bland. Owner was a huge douche for no reason, but even if he was pleasant the empanadas were unremarkable. Really shocked by the reviews on here
Edit: Since the baby-man owner decided to respond I'll just go over the experience:
Walked in with a friend, excited to try this place out. Employee (turned out to be owner) said nothing. That's fine, don't demand employees say anything or anything but slightly weird.
Ask the guy what he recommends and he says something along the lines of "I own the store. Do you think I have anything bad on the menu? They're all good." which is a crazy douchey thing to say. He eventually says that he can be the "tiebreaker" between two but cannot give recommendations. Well, they were all ties since we haven't been here before, so...
Anyway, I ask how many empanadas would be good for a meal and he starts talking about how I can just order more later anyway because there's no line.. ok...
There's not a lot of time before we have to be somewhere, so, imagining that they're probably ready-made since that's typical for an empanada shop I ask if they're ready-made or we have to wait and he says "Well it is a bakery." Great! Thanks so much!
For some reason I decide to still order, and decide not to get a drink. Then I see that there's some appealing-looking lemonade options in the fridge so I say "Actually, I'll take that drink" and the dude like rolls his eyes and looks exasperated. Again, we were the only people in here but for some reason he's really upset that we're buying anything from his shop.
Seconds after leaving my friend is like "What was going on with that guy? I think that's the rudest I've ever seen someone be at a restaraunt" and we just kind of go over how shockingly douchey he was. Anyway, we wind up eating the empanadas and they're like a solid 4/10. Not bad but not remarkable and not worth the price. The sauces were actively bad. Will...
Read moreMy boyfriend, his mother, and I went to this location a bit ago because we were excited they had vegan options that weren't just vegetables only to hear that the only two options we wanted he wasn't willing to make because he said he had to bake them. The guy said we had to call ahead for those, but there were no signs posted saying to call ahead for certain options. He was very rude about it as well. When my mother-in-law asked for a al pastor empanada and he rudely said that they were out. This place doesn't seem ready to take orders at the counter, and you should only call ahead for this place. He seemed to be nicer towards the end like he felt bad, but still, I don't plan on...
Read moreWe were attended by a very gentle gentleman and he offered us several empanadas, the place that is a branch, it is not for eating, if it is adapted. The empanada in general is good, it only happened a little with the pepper and the power level of the onion, the rest is great. We also buy highly recommended alfajores, since the one who has eaten alfajores from Argentina, where he associates, where he is, is quite assimilated and that is appreciated. They also sell other things Like materials, matt grass and milk candy. Giving it a touch of Argentina in a small space. I recommend the empanada capresse, meat and to...
