I worked for Kegel for years in my teens and was an avid bowler. I bowled for free, bowling 55-60 games a week, picking up tips and tricks along the way. Even became a Bronse level coach with our Saturday youth group. Been out of the game for a decade. So im not new to bowling. Had a couple balls I needed work on. I asked the proshop tech if he could find my axis of rotation before drilling. He had me come in a couple days later because he was busy. Fair enough. When I came back to the proshop, he presented my with the first ball which was just a resurface. Looked pretty good. The tech started drilling my other ball without finding my PAP. I asked him how he got the specs for my particular throw. He said the way he's drilling the ball works for new bowlers. I know my particular style of bowling and what I need the ball to do. When I seen the finish product, I noticed the slug had a gap which will eventually chip. The slug wasn't flush with the ball. Thumb hole was corse; not as smooth as it should be. The finger tip sleeves were also not flush with the ball. We had a little conversation while he was doing his work. Maybe I made him nervous. I didn't have time to have him redo anything, so I paid and left. But as it stands, the finished product doesn't look as it should and I still don't know my PAP. All that said, the tech looked like he knew what he was doing. Maybe had an off day. Don't let this review stop you from checking them out. I'm just noting MY first time experience at...
Read moreBought a Columbia Side Swipe from Scott and had it drilled by him. The ball did rolled the way I wanted it. Eventually a fried of mine gave me 2 balls that he wasn't going to use anymore. One of those balls, I had Scott plugged and redrilled to fit my hand.
I've also took a lesson from him and because of that lesson I am starting to correct my approach.
I would recommend Scott to anyone who is thinking of buying a ball or get lessons fron him. He has vast knowledge of bowling that is helpful whenever you need advice about something like your approach or release.
I don't understand why people would write...
Read moreI just bought my first reactive ball here. My son and I do Summer Bowling each year, and after having a cheap plastic ball for a couple of years I wanted to try a reactive ball with a fingertip grip. I was very happy that Scott didn't try to sell me more than I need.
The whole process took about 20 minutes. I felt like Scott did a good job making sure that he got it drilled just right for my hand. After bowling a few games with it, I can say that I am...
