I typically do not leave poor reviews, but i do not recommend visiting this location. I really liked that it was a double drive thru and had high hopes about quick, quality service. but- 8/8 4:31pm We approached the order box and the employee was EXTREMELY rude. Kept cutting me off and when I asked my husband what he wanted to drink, she angrily repeated herself twice in the span of maybe 10 seconds because my answer was not immediate. Before i could even say my sides, i was cut off with so much attitude. I felt rushed and like they did not want me to order. As a manager of a food service business, order box service makes or breaks the experience. customers often would rather drive 5 minutes down the road for better service. When we got to the window, the employee did not greet us and was very short. Abruptly reached out her hand for my card, curtly said my total. Handed my my drinks, began complaining to her coworkers and slammed the window. We had two meals. that’s it. and we were the only car in the DT. Uncalled for. Food was practically dropped out the window. I felt unwelcome - you WILL lose your customers to other businesses with this service. We were perfectly polite understanding the nature of their jobs - we don’t ever want to cause trouble. We got our food - the styrofoam trays were dirty and one even had holes in it. It was gross. Food tasted okay. The drinks - absolutely disgusting. We just got sodas. It tasted moldy - I’d take a wild guess that either the soda or ice machines are not being properly cleaned. All of this being said, a note of encouragement to the employees- you may see your job as temporary and undesirable because it is fast food. But people CHOOSE to come to you instead of eating at home. You are in contact with hundreds of people a day - you have the opportunity to make people’s days all day long. A smile, friendly greeting, and even mediocre service at minimum can outshine the ugly realities we can face in our day to day lives. Working through a lens of serving others can change your perspective of your job and make a huge impact on every single customer you interact with. And you’ll get a ton more business. Best of luck to your team.

One of the worse experiences at a cookout. When I arrive I went to the walk up window and I wasn’t even acknowledged at all no hey I’ll be right with you nothing I waited for at-least 20 mins. I finally order the lady who took my order was nice tho. I wait a additional 20 mins for my food watching them make orders through the window they finally make mines and the guy on the fry station making the fries drops my entire tray of food including my burger that was just made he grabs a new tray and throws the burger that was just ok the floor on the new tray after watching this I just wanted to leave because who does that.

Our family loves cookout. Our favorite is the milkshakes. Most of my family members have their favorite and always get that one! Me? I tried to go through the entire list! They are all way full of whatever you have in in it chocolate or cookies or fruits or whatever. The food is great too.The cookout tray is my favorite and I see it as great value for the money. It is well worth driving through to get something. There’s not really much of a place to eat there maybe one table, but it depends on which when you visit.

Update, so I called back to Corporate as I still haven’t received any response from store management. They seemed to be apologetic and said they would send out another request for district management and store management to contact me, BUT they said “All we can do is request it” so basically they have nothing, not a single power to hold this management accountable for their employees and obviously with the lack of even attempting to reach out they don’t care about the customers. I wasn’t going to berate them, nor ask for anything….it would have been nice to at minimum act as tho they cared about the environment this location emits to its customer base. So in the end this location will never get any of my business or the 20 other people in my office, I will tell ever single person I can about my experience there and try my best to warn others. Think about it, why would I not only spend money with this company but ingest food into my body from people that care so little about me. I honestly don’t leave many reviews, I rarely even complain about service as i understand everyone has a bad day, we are all just trying to live especially these days but the way I and my peers have been treated by this location and the lack of communication, lack of accountability I doubt I will ever go to any Cook Out again. There are so many other options that treat customers better. It’s unfortunate cause I do like the food, but it’s bad for you anyways and I refuse to be treated like this. **

So I posted a review not long ago, the cooperate sent requested I call about the experience. I spoke to a nice individual that was apologetic and seemed as they truly wanted to be helpful. Asked if I would like a call from the owner of this location and I agreed please. Of course no attempt was made to contact me, oh well not the end of the world. I decided ok its been a few weeks, cooperate handled the issue with the employees here so I stopped by around 12:40 pm. Simple order, no onions. They kept cutting me off at the speaker, wanted to order more but the employees don't want that, get to the window trying to ask for some ketchup but I cant without breaking the conversation the employees were having about personal life, when i finally got a chance you'd thought Id asked something abnormal. Roll of the eyes for some ketchup and basically throw it out the window. and wouldn't you know it the burger had onions. Listen i know this isn't 4 star dining, i imagine its not a high paying job, its also not difficult to be a decent person and to actually care maybe a little bit. If this company wants my business anymore the owner will need to contact me from this point on. Go by and see for yourself its almost comical at this point how rude the people are at this location. Food was decent though to be fair, that's not enough to bring...

Today, I went out to the Cook Out to order my Chicken Strips Tray with Regular Fries and Cole Slaw with a Double Chocolate Oreo Milkshake. When my order was $6.77, I gave the young man a $20 bill and he gave me back $13.23 worth some change, which was good cashier service. But when the same young man asked me if I wanted any sauce with my chicken and/or French Fries and I told him I just wanted three honey mustards because they were good with my tray, whoever the lady manager told him to tell me that they could give me only two just because they are charging 25 cents for an extra was out of line. That right there was ridiculous. First of all, Dear manager on South Sanders, I've been to the one in Fuquay-Varina, and they never charged me extra just because I asked for three honey mustard packets. As a matter of fact, the next time I come to your place and order some chicken strips tray with fries and slaw and a bottle of water to drink and you think you can charge me extra if I get three honey mustards instead of only two, please miss me on that. Like I said before about the one in Fuquay never charges me extra for any additional sauce. Also, I know Cook Out on Capital Blvd don't charge me extra either. If you think for one second if every other Cook Out is going to start charging the same way as your business is, buddy please think again. Otherwise, watch me what I can do with the so-called limited packs with my meal tray. Now if you want me to go on with my life, then you might as well forget about charging every customer for an additional amount of sauce package they ask for because we're not paying for it if that's what you think. I know you have a whole lot a customers go there to get something to eat. Trust me, I've been there one Wednesday night last month and your parking lot and drive-thru were overflowing. So why don't you all use plenty of money you make and buy you some more sauces if you need to, or else you might as well charge yourselves out of business lol.

Anyways, I love the Chicken strips tray, custom-made milkshakes of my own choice, and a bottle of Dasani as most favorite beverage. I hope I can come back to order whatever I want from the menu without any problem or confusion. I didn't mean any harm. I also love your service, even though the young man is close to not knowing what he's doing on the cashier section, but that's ok. I hope you all have a chance to get through that lump, so that way, your business can become successful. God bless and...
